For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 14th game of the season at the Providence Friars who are currently 8-6 after their loss 96-55 at South Carolina today, trailing only by 12 points at the half. Their highest Massey win was against #94 Georgetown with a 68-61 OT home win. They are 1-2 in the Big East, their losses are both road losses against #160 Xavier 47-61, a team that the Huskies trounced 104-39 in Cincinnati and at #72 St John’s 55-62. UConn has 49-5 record against Providence with all their losses happening over 30 years ago between 1990-1993, the largest loss being on the road 72-97 on 2/21/1992. The Huskies largest win 126-48 was on 1/6/1998 at Gampel, are currently riding a 38-game winning streak, with it soon being a 39-game winning.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 2:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on Peacock.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Providence/Friars. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit the Friars scoring with the game not being close after the first few minutes. UConn will play all available players, with everyone eating. UConn 100 – Friars 47.
Attached is a copy of the Prognosticator's Predictions Rules and Scoring System – Tournament criteria, please read it so that you are familiar with the game rules. Good Luck to all you Prognosticator's out there and have some fun.
Happy New Years to one and all, be safe out there!
