For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. UConn plays their 13th game of the season against the Providence Friars at the XL Center and are currently 7-7 and rated #129 by Massey. They are coached by Erin Batth who was hired last year and currently has 20-28 record after going 13-21 in her first year as the Friars head coach. Providence has 10 Seniors/GR’s, 2 Sophomores and 2 Freshman. Four of their SR/GR are transfers play a combined 68 minutes a game, contribute over 1/3 of the teams’ points, assists and ¼ of the rebounds and blocks. The team is averaging 58.8 points per game while giving up 58.1 points per game. They are currently 0-1 in Big East play losing to Seton Hall on the road 51-40.
This game will be the fifty-third time that UConn has played Providence, winning 47 while losing only 5. The Friars last win was on 3/7/93 with UConn currently on a 36 game winning streak, soon to be 37. Providence seems to have settled on their starting five with the following players starting over the past 4 games. Grace Efosa, SR, G, 5’11’ averages 33.6 mins, 16 pts, 4 rbds, 1.8 asts, 0.9 stls and 1.9 T/O’s. Brynn Farrell, SR, G, 6’ averages 27.6 mins, 8.7 pts, 3.1 rbds, 1.6 asts, 0.8 stls, and 2.1 T/O’s. Emily Archibald, SR, F, 6’ averages 24.9 mins, 4.1 pts, 4.9 rbds, 0.9 asts, 1.9 stls, and 2.1 T/O’s. Olivia Olsen, SR, F, 6’3” averages 24.6 mins, 7.8 pts, 8.1 rbds, 0.9 asts, 1 stl, 1.6 blks & T/O’s. MacKayla Scarlett, SR, G, 5’10” averages 14.4 mins, 4.6 pts, 1.9 rbds, 0.5 asts, and 1 T/O. As a team as stated earlier they average 58.8 pts, 34.6 rbds, 10.7 asts, 8.1 stls, 4.8 blks, and 16.5 T/O’s. FG% is 40.3%, 3pt % is 29.7% and FT% is 68.7. After this meeting with UConn I believe that their numbers will be much worse.

- The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Providence/Friars. No predictions like "85-55 the good guys", will be accepted if there isn't a winner stated.
- If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed.
- If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow Prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
