For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 11th game of the season against Marquette at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford. This will be the 24th meeting between the two teams with UConn winning 22 of the 23 previous games. The only loss was in Milwaukee on 02/08/23 52-59, UConn had only 8 players available with the starters playing between 37 and 40 minutes, it was also the first time in almost 30 years that UConn lost back-to-back games after losing to South Carolina just 3 days before. UConn’s largest win was a 94-37 win in 2013 at Gampel, their smallest MOV was a 52-48 win on the road in Milwaukee on 02/03/07. The Golden Eagles are currently 7-3 with wins against Massey rated #296 Winthrop 89-57, #69 Wisconsin 65-62 OT, #133 Bowling Green 71-55, at #283 WI Milwaukee 75-43, at #192 DePaul 85-54, #134 Butler 80-55, and #340 Le Moyne 89-42. Their losses are at #39 Minnesota 47-90, vs #10 Iowa State 73-84 and vs #62 Gonzaga 61-65. According to Massey they have a 1% chance of beating UConn with a score of 50-80.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 6:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on Peacock.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Marquette/Golden Eagles. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
After the dismantling that UConn did to USC on Saturday, I believe that UConn will limit the Golden Eagles to less than 50 points in scoring and this game won’t be close. UConn will play all available players, and everyone will score. UConn 99 – Marquette 48.
