Prognosticators Game 7 (Georgia Tech) Preditions

Depends on how quickly a few of the kids grow up and take on their new responsibilities. I still thing the talent is there to compete with most good teams but the jury is out on how this all washes out. I think it will be a dog fight if you pardon the expression. Maybe like a typical SEC game, low scoring and less than aesthetically pleasing offense. The Huskies prevail 70 to 65.

Nailbiter! This will be an opportunity for UCONN to develop more gamers on their roster for post season.

Hmmm, no Bueckers, no Fudd, why even bother?

The rambling Yellowjackets engineer a helluva game plan and wreck UCONN 71-63.

Turn the Paige...GT 65 UC 62. Losing to "Nell Yes" Fortner will be quite the drag, (should it happen).

I hope ONO neutralizes Cabaj.

Uconn 62 - 54. Looking for Liv to build on what she started against ND and our guys to work through early jitters at not having Paige on the floor but settle into some rhythm on both ends.

Huskies sting the Yellow Jackets by 9!

UConn 68
GT 59

Caroline Ducharme has confidence and will hit the outside shots opening up the lane for williams to drive.
UConn 74 GT 58

The problem is that Paige played too many minutes and the team has never had to operate with her not being on the floor for vast majority of a game. UConn still has superior talent but can they make adjustment in a few days. CW says Nika replaces Paige but in the long run it is better for Evina to run point and Caroline become fifth starter. The hidden blessing in Paige’s being out is that it forces Geno to develop Caroline earlier and if Paige returns in time for South Carolina, we could be a much better team. I am an optomist

UConn 71-GT 64.

Low scoring defensive game.. UConn..54-48
If this is a change to your original post, please state so as per the rules.

UConn, offensively, will probably be a bit shaky. No Paige, Nika, etc.

So low scoring from them.

UConn 68-56

Let's see how wrong I can get this one.

UCONN-60
GA Tech-57
Possibly O/T
The GT coach is no fool and knows the Huskies are thin right now.
There will be a full house in Hotlanta and these Yellowjackets have next to nothing to lose.
Grinding physical game as they try to lure our post players into foul trouble.
Look for them to put on full court pressure and take chances on defense, knowing our transition game will be hampered.
There is still a talent gap in our favor, which they will attempt to nullify by slowing down the game, limiting possessions.
Not sure what their free throw percentage is, but we can lose this game at the line if we don't get up to 70%.

My desires for this game certainly changed with the NIka news - couldn't be at a worst time for Nika especially but the team as a whole. I didn't expect a ton of points from Nika so I will keep my score and just pass those expected steals to Evina at point.

UCONN has had a couple of days to get used to Paige being out so they play inspired BB!
UCONN 77
GA Tech 53

Expect plays designed for each player to get shots. IMO CW and Evina will take most of the shots and if Caroline performs like she did against ND she gonna be given the green light. Geno needs Caroline to get it going. We should be fine will all our talent. We have 5 games til the end of the year. LVille will be the toughest. The next game that could be tuff is Oregon on Jan 17 and thats only if their injured players are back. I would expect Nika and Aubrey to be back by then and maybe Azzi.
