Prognosticators Game 23 (SC) Predictions

AAGH! got that one wrong :(

SC performed as expected; UCONN didn't.

So, we lost by 18. Big deal. The big concern going in was a perceived height disadvantage; well, scratch that as both teams had 40 rebounds. Totally unexpected was the two points from Williams and zero points from Makurat. A combined 4 points from two positions, tells the story. Those 2 positions contributing as they surely will (down the road) and we win the game.

SC won't improve measurably this year; whereas, UCONN will. I'm totally expecting Williams, Makurat and Griffin to come good.

Anyway, I still see a final four team.
Listen...I have heard some sad statements but "ours will get better and theirs won't" is no different than a kid saying "my dogs better than your dog"....lol....there is not one bit of logic...not one ounce of rational thinking that went into that statement. It was just like a kid on the playground.....geez....

So SC’s young players won’t improve but UConn’s will.....?

No, I didn't quite say that.

SC's 3 Freshman played "unlike" your typical freshmen; they played well and with poise.

Whereas, for UCONN's younger players the occasion was too much for them.

So, the UCONN younger players have more room to make a bigger jump.

Or maybe..... just maybe, SC’s freshmen are just better....

For UCONN, the road to the final four may be through the SC regional.

Soooo, we shall see...

If you could make the argument that UCONN's are going to get better and South Carolina's have max out...then you could just as easily say...South Carolina's players are going to get better while UCOONN's freshmen have maxed out...you have no clue either way so it's a dumb statement.

Seem to be wishing on some good fortune. SC freshmen have played this way all year thus their performance was more indicative of who there are. Frankly. SC normally does not miss some of the open shots they did in the first qtr so they have betted games in them also.

I don't really see freshmen making vast improvements between February and March.

I think teams largely are who they are at this point.
