Prognosticators Game 15 (USF) Predictions

Some of UConn's biggest and most lopsided wins came against USF. Geno will not put his foot off the pedal anymore than he did against Cinci if given the chance until the requisite 4th Q
What is especially "requisite" about the 4th quarter? Aren't all the quarters required to have a complete game?

Just my oblique way of saying that if the gap is large enough entering Q4, Geno may use the bench more than normal.

Ferreira was a pretty tough defender, and her loss on top of the others is very unfortunate. She would have been on Lou, no idea how they try and stop #33 now. Collier has given Henshaw nightmares in the past.

They rely mostly on their guards, a freshman and a sophomore, for their offense, they will be hoisting threes. Geno will come out in a press as he did against Cincinnati and as he always does against USF since UConn is always the quicker team. Unlike many of the teams UConn plays, don`t expect Fernandez to try and milk the clock. UConn is happy to be back at Gampel and they shoot well there.

So, I think this will be a full court game and an offensive explosion for UConn. At the same time, USF will struggle to score as UConn concentrates on perimeter defense, recognizing USF does not have an inside threat. USF does hit some threes late after Geno has called off the dogs.

UConn, 104-53.
