Prognosticators Game 14 (Houston) Predictions

Well it finally happened, UConn lost at home for the first time in almost 7 years. UConn last loss on a home court was in the Big East final on 3/12/13 to dreaded ND. Time to start another one, the first game is against the Houston Cougars. Almost feel sorry for them, but someone has to become the sacrificial lamb guess it will be Houston. UConn 97 - Houston 48. We also had a record number of prognosticators for this game, 72 of which 17 had predicted a Baylor win. All predictions must be submitted by 12:50 PM Eastern or 9:50 Pacific 1/11/20. Houston beat Oklahoma by 15 but lost to aTm by 29. Hard to get a feel for them - they got slaughtered by Ga Tech early in the season. I don't think this game will be close.

The game is at home. I think the team's confidence was shaken a little bit against Baylor, but CD, Megan and CW played well and I expect that to continue. Kyla should look much better against a team like Houston.

What I'm REALLY curious to see is how Olivia, Aubrey and Anna do. Not good games for them vs. Baylor. Let's see how they respond. Remember, freshmen often hit the wall January-February. Will they respond fast from Baylor, or sink into a funk for a bit? Bottom line tho, but UCONN win. 40'ish MOV IMHO...

UCONN is gonna be way, way too depressed to play well tomorrow. With the dynasty now over, some may not even get out of bed for the game.

And just because Houston hasn't won a game on an opponents floor all season, only means they are due.

Houston gives UCONN it's first AAC loss. 68-65.

Even though the Huskies have some frustration to take out on the Cougars, I also believe that Geno is going to really emphasize offensive movement, ball movement, getting the best shot, etc. Essentially, it will be a back to basics game.

FYI, Meyers offers his predictions as a sacrificial lamb to the God of Mojo. It almost always works. Unfortunately, for the Baylor game, for Meyers to appease the God of Mojo he should have picked UConn....
