For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their first exhibition game against Boston College at the Mohegan Sun in a Double Header with the men’s team. The Eagles went 16-18 last season, finished 12th in the ACC and lost to Villanova in the WBIT first round game 76-70, a team UConn demolished all three times they met last year 83-52 on the road, 100-57 Gampel, and 82-54 in the Big East Semi-finals. They also played common foes Providence, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Louisville and Notre Dame. They won against Providence 67-60 and lost against N. Carolina twice 80-67 & 78-71, Ole Miss 92-55, Oregon St 84-49, Louisville 86-73 and Notre Dame 89-63. UConn beat Providence twice 67-41 and 77-40, N. Carolina 69-58 in Greensboro, NC, Oregon State 71-52 and Ole Miss 73-60, both in the Baha Mar Women’s Championship, Louisville 85-52 at the Champions Classic in the Barclays Center, and lost at Notre Dame 79-68.
UConn has a 32-7 record against BC with their first 3 games as losses and 4 of their first 7 games being losses. They haven’t played BC since 11/17/05 where UConn won 60-46 at Gampel. The Huskies should not have any problems beating BC in this Exhibition game, even with Geno experimenting with his line ups throughout the game.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 1:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted.
