Once again armed with DD's superb pregame analysis and considering that CSN and Detroit hung 73 and 72 points on PSU's defense, respectively...UConn will cruise to victory.

That is the approach I used one season. It was quite successful.

I will be making no such prediction tonight, however, since I will be watching the game on DVR late. I must do my husbandly duty of taking my wife to see the life of Pi tonight.

I'm so sorry. My wife wants to see that one too. I've told her it looks like a great movie for her friends and her to do a "girls night out".

That's win-win-win. She gets a girls night out (win). I get brownie points for supporting (even recommending) a girls night out (win). I don't have to go see the movie (win). :cool:

What metric? I'm biased, but I think getting the margin right is the main goal.
 
I think we should do it as point margin as a percentage of total points scored...this allows the margin to shrink in the event that a lot of fouling is used to slow the games tempo. For instance...I predicted a 25 point spread at 80 - 55...that would be a 21 point spread at 67 - 46 if we reduced the margin to reflect total scoring. Interestingly, we were at 21 points late in the game when Machine Gun Maggie went off for some quick points and we didn't score. And that's the problem with big margins...you can sit on them and run the clock out.
