I think the ship may have sailed. If Hurley and Co. believe we still have a shot we'll be seeing some flights scheduled to go see PA in the near future.Perhaps Memphis being loaded with talent may work in our favor. Precious obviously has his eyes on the NBA. He is most likely a one and done. He has been biding his time, I think, so as to see who he will be competing with for playing time. With us it will be play right away. He has been interested in us , that is a fact. We have good coaches and great facilities. Hurley has been keeping one scholorship open for a reason. I am going to remain optimistic. I think we still have a chance with him. We’ll find out on Saturday.
They will enter the season with high expectations. If we bust them in their mouths on national tv in front of some highly sought after recruits then we are most certainly be in a good spot.
Hurley loves showcasing UConn to recruits during big games. The fact that we can now showcase during conference play is outstanding.
You should have told the staff that!Contrary to what some believe, we NEVER had a chance with Precious!
If he was recruited in high school then he has to be on scholarship as a freshman, but scholarships are (or used to be) year to year, and at some point players can move from scholarship to off scholarship. Not sure of the details or whether the NCAA has been altering rules, or if Memphis has its own policy, but odds are he can take the scholarship from his son and still have him play.
The only problem is, we haven't busted a decent team in the mouth in years, home or away. We had a few nice crowds come out last year for us and it's netted a pretty good but definitely not great recruiting class.
The more mediocre seasons we string together the further and further we fade from national relevance. I'm hoping next year is a big improvement but I honestly see us struggling to stay in the top 4 or 5 of a thoroughly mediocre conference.
yesDo they still have one left after Boogie Ellis committed?
You are spot on. Eight new players on the roster with seven of them being freshmen. Two challenges: 1) I don't care what their individual ranking is....they are still freshmen and 2) team chemistry. Calapari has done this long enough to make it work. Penny is a newbie at this.Memphis is going to be a suped up AAU team next season. They aren’t guaranteed success. Penny better win or all of this momentum is going to come swinging back the other way. Give me a Hurley’s approach any day. He taking the long term approach(singles and doubles), he’s taking contact swings. Penny is swinging for the fences. He better hit the ball.....

I am sure Hurley has been keeping tabs on him and knows already where he is committing. It's common courtesy to let prospective schools know that they are going elsewhereI don't know why Precious is creating all of this drama by pretending that he's still undecided. If it's Memphis, just say it so that Hurley can move on.
My guess is that he just wants to splash the pot.
You should have told the staff that!
Imagine thinking theres any legitment reason for a kid to go to Memphis over North Carolina or Kansas. Only the kids penny coached I understand, everyone else is getting something unde the table. Hasn't this FBI investigation taught yall anything?
How’d you get that to upload? Kept trying on my phone for some reason it wouldn’t work
I can tell you the staff is not happy with that. They were blindsided by Kofi. That was a killer because pretty decent chance it also brings in Achiuwa. We have 3 top 100 recruits, a top 20 ranked class, and an open scholarship remaining. What would you define as a great recruiting class?
Upstate New York.Where did Syracuse come from?
