Isn't the guy who runs Prospects Nation. The same one who used to run Hoopzgurlz?

Yes Chris Hansen is among the staff at ProspectsNation now and he was formerly of ESPN. Chris left ESPN around 2012. Dan Olson does the majority of ESPN rating since Chris left ESPN.

Ok thanks. I don't follow recruiting much. Just when my team gets a player. Then I seek a little info and watch YouTube clips.

I've always seen Durr and Ogunbowale as better off guards, than point guards. It's just the handful of time I've seen Ogunbowale play she seems like a ball dominant point guard. So she is better suited as the off guard. As for Durr, I just think she excels when she's at the 2 guard. Which we will probably see from Louisville this year with Cole running the point some.

Am I missing something? What did Mo Jeff do to go from winning the best PG in America award last season to being a second team pick this year. Does not compute and worse yet it makes no sense.

Pure Madness!
Starting with Mitchell (Defensive indifferent) ahead of MoJeff on the 1st Team. Down hill from there with the exclusion of Allen of ND. Tuck on the 4th Team! Seriously? Look at where the have the three top Freshmen form Last Year- Stevens, Turner, Wilson all line up in a row. If Oregon state has two of the top ten player in the country ( Same as UCONN) they should at least be a top 10 team- Can you say West Coast Bias. Sorry MD fans but Shatori Walker-Kimbrough has not done anything to deserve to be on this list yet. Victoria Vivians Of Mississippi state is a better candidate than Courtney Walker A&M & Holmes of WV.
Rachel Theriot NEB & Leticia Romero FSU & Kelsey Plum (WAS) are all better candidates than Sydney Wiese of Oregon State or Aliyyah Handford St. Johns or Bria Holmes of WV. Adut Bulgak FSU may be the best center in WCBB & Ariel Powers is good but she is not a Center.

Happily this is a team sport. I'd prefer the best team in the country to an individual kudo. We'll sort all of this out on the court during the season. Bring 'em on.

If you combine the ratings, for guards you get Durr, Ogunbowale, Higgs, Cooper. But most of the ratings have Durr and Ogunbowale listed as Guards. So at best, overall, Cooper is the #2 PG in the class. Still, I think she could be a very good player for TN.

... no publication wants to seem biased to UCONN (again, even if it's deserved) ...
If it's deserved, it isn't bias. So I guess what you're saying is that publications would rather be biased (against UConn) than appear biased.

Glenn Nelson used to run HoopsGurlz.
Genn found Hoopgurlz and ran it independent for a while. Great man, writer, and photograper. I actually brought many images of my Daughter from him. I believe he cashed out of Hoopgurlz shortly after ESPN took over the brand circa 2009.

Yep, and Morgan Tuck is a victim of that. She's one of the top 10 power forward, probably top 5 or 6, in the country.. but when you're on the same team as Stewart (who also plays the same position to an extent) it's easy to go unnoticed.

FWIW, I watched Nurse during the PanAm games this summer. She's going to have a BIG year this season. She's a handful.

Surely you jest. Morgan Top 10? Morgan "probably" Top 5 or 6? I'm officially calling you out on that. Name them?

I don't have to give you names. I gave her top 5 or 6. She could be anywhere within that top 6. Take my opinion for what it is.

You got it; each region gets X #. No reasonable semblance of objectivity.
If that was or is the intent of the providers then they would have been well advised to actually give a 4 region approach and settle the overall rank later. I find it a little funny to selct Durr as the freshman of the year and she can't make any team.

Wait what. Why wouldn't you want to defend yourself and your women's basketball knowledge by give someone your official top 5 position players? This really confuses me

Let's have a go at top PFs in college and feel free to add on whoever I leave out.
In no certain order:
1) Breanna Stewart, UConn (some will say she's a Wing)
2) Jonquel Jones, GW
3) Erica McCall, Stanford
4) Azura Stevens, Duke
5) Morgan Tuck, UConn
6) Chatrice White, Illinois
7) Aja Wilson, South Carolina
8) Briana Turner, Notre Dame
9) Ruth Hamblin, Oregon State
10) Nina Davis, Baylor
11) Adut Bulgak, Florida State

That's a strong contingent of players and fairly certain there are a few more to add.

The order was precisely the point of disagreement so You can't leave it out.
My Order is Stewart, Tuck, Turner, Stevens, Wilson, Davis, White, Hamblin.

Bulgak is a C not PF.

You can make a case either way on Bulgak- F or C. I think, long term, she'll be a F.

Hamblin is a PF ?
No she is a 6'6" center per the Oregon State website. That is what I get for going by someone else's list. Maybe Turner should not be on the list either. It is a moot point anyway. There is not a better PF in the country than Morgan Tuck besides Stewie regardless of how long the list goes.

i think the bottom line here is this is egalitarian and wishful thinking, pre-season without any results. The end will be COMPLETELY different, and reflect reality. So i am not going to pay one penny for their two cents' worth of views...
