There were some things I liked about AG both as a person and as a player, but one thing was clear he couldn’t look at his game objectively and was stubborn about that denial.
The most understated thing that happened last season was the insertion of Gaffney. True, the Casual Fans may not have seen it in his box score line or the highlight videos they love to watch. But, the idea that other guys would get more than just bailout passes and would no longer need to watch a teammate take bad shots when they were better shooters - really changed the team’s mindset around.
