Ceremony at 1 PM. I think it is supposed to take approx 14 months. Depending on what kind of delays they face, hopefully in time for the class of 2014 to come into a completed facility...

Official groundbreaking was 15 minutes ago, and it looks like they already have foundations poured? Man this thing should be done in June by how fast they are going.

Anyone know where the proposed $100 million rec center is supposed to be built? Will it be built on the site of the current one next to gampel?

Not sure it is settled, but I read likrly either next to the thirsty dog plaza, or the farmer brown lot recently purchased.

Great stuff. The webcam will be cool as they will be able to take still shots from the entire process and shrink it down in to a 1-2 minute montage showing the transformation.

Is Marrone and its practice field still being given up for football practice fields?
Marrone moving to current football practice fields?
Baseball with upgrade staying where is?
I had heard awhile back softball was moving behind new bb practice facility or is it staying put?
The open space/field next to softball will become a multisport locker room facility?
Freitas footprint to be enlarged at current site?
