Dolson and Stokes are both playing at a high level right know. They both put there backs to the basket and post up hard. This is such a great development for the team. It has been for several games in a row and it makes our awesome perimeter game that much harder to guard.

Speaking of post game, I dont think Geno was all too happy with the Gtown chippiness in the second half.
Usually he'll shake hands and say a little something to the coach, but not a word tonight.
I thought the Hoyas got a little dirty.

Yeah, well Georgetown can 'chip' all they want - this year UConn has TWO centers to worry about, and the Hoyas didn't find it so rewarding to play Hack-a-Shaq with these refs on duty.

Did the GTown coach have any insulting remarks to make after this year's game?

Some really rough stuff.

Sweet 16 game:
On what went wrong in that segment…
We did not hit shots. Sugar missed a layup. We turned the ball over twice. I told our young ladies, against a
team like Connecticut, you just cannot make those mistakes. When we were up by 7, we had to put it up by
10, and then by 12. That’s the only way you’re going to give yourself any cushion to beat Connecticut, because
they are coming back at you. They are a very well coached team, and they have Maya Moore, who hit those
big shots. We hit that spot right there and it really hurt us.

I'm always astounded by how Nan can pull up so many arcane facts. She must have her own personal super computer crammed with facts.

“Geno had to take Dolson out. Tia Magee was absolutely killing her,” said Williams-Flournoy. “Tia was taking it to the basket and shooting the three. So he decided to go smaller by putting Dixon in the game. [Even though] Dixon hasn’t been a big time player for him, she was their spark coming off the bench,” said the Georgetown coach.

I was shocked that the ref did not call a technical or flagrant on Crawford who mauled Bria on her lay up. Add insult to injury the ref was 5ft from the play and Crawford just turned and walked away without seeing if Bria was ok....stay classy Gtown!!

Crawford is the only player on Georgetown who tends to commit "hard" fouls like the one on Bria yesterday. The other Hoyas play good, physical defense. Crawford plays with an edge and has crossed the line against UConn (and other teams) in the past. In last year's game between ND and Georgetown, Crawford took Novosel down with a leg whip which almost resulted in a fight between the teams. (“(Crawford had) been aggravating everybody the whole game,” said Novosel, who has earned the name “Nasty” from her teammates. “We were just trying to keep our cool, and she grabbed me. That whole thing went far enough.”)

GT coach IMO should immediately sat Crawford down.By not doing so says she's o.K. with that kind of play.

This game with the one exception of the Craword play was very mild compared to the mugging UCONN got at Louisville! When physical play crosses the line refs need to put a stop to it immediately before someone gets seriously injured.
