You sound like a troll. Or you smoked a bong all morning.
Alcohol is a depressant. Medical MJ is being prescribed for those who suffer PTSD. After last night, I say we all be prescribed medical MJ.

Maybe you guys should have stuck around last night and got a chant going with the few hundred people or so that were left "Coach must go" "Coach must go". Instead it was pretty quiet.
I stuck around till the very end (and watched the band after). The crowd was way too disappointed to bother to stick around.

I understand. Ive followed the team for a while but only started going to games last year cause I was living out of state for a while. Its good to see so many people who support this team. Im not trying to piss anybody off, Im trying to get some good vibes about the team. I found the forum recently and saw a lot of positivity before that first game, and now not really any at all. im sure you all know each other and have been on this site for a while and its not easy hearing an unpopular perspective from a new guy, I got it.

Keep up the positive attitude. We need more fans like that. You're gonna take some bullets today for sure, though. But don't give up the support and don't let anyone drive you away from the board...

...okay, now back to my whiskey...

Im a new member and thought this would be a good time for my first post, Id like to speak on something here. I think the extreme negativity is a little premature.

Hey rook, a fan with a bit more seasoning would understand that the negativity is not premature in the least. Yesterday's debacle is just another one in a series under P's leadership.

I'm not sure but it looks like the offensive and defensive lines were reading what Dez had to say in the Hartford Courant. Where the very good D line was going hard to make a bad O line better. Looks like both lines were not nearly as good as forecast. As a matter of fact they were way worse than advertised. Seeing Kevin Friend on the sideline was not good news. Last year he was a lookout blocker so it was not a shock to see his replacement Hemingway look like a turnstile in a subway station. Please get someone to coach the O line.

you don't think the way towson played last night they couldn't beat most fbs teams? I mean who knew they had the ability to drive down field they way they did. They were jacked up for that game. Yeah the huskies looked bad with the penalty at the goal line and fumbled snap on 3rd and short, but whitmer was throwing the ball downfield better than he did last year, and mccombs actually got some good gains, its not all bad.

No, I absolutely do NOT think that they could. I don't care that they were competitive for a few quarters against LSU a year ago. The fact of the matter is that they DOMINATED the trenches for the entire game. Power in the trenches is supposed to be what separates FBS from FCS and SEC from everyone else (everyone can have talented skill players). The fact of the matter is that even if other teams don't play as well as Towson, they certainly have the talent to rip through our embarrassment of an o-line and kill Whitmer even more effectively.

What happened last night is an utter disgrace. Period. Sometimes an FCS team rises up and beats an FBS team. It does happen, and I can live with it happening (if it can happen to Michigan and VT, then it can happen to UConn). But they do not, repeat, do not, come in and absolutely dominate the game. They humiliated UConn, period. Any positive takeaways are useless unless they appear against real FBS competition (really good FCS competition is not sufficient).

That's what hurt the most. I can stomach losing to an Appalachian St on a blocked field goal, or to Villanova on a tipped pass that goes for a last second TD, but getting mauled, outplayed, outhustled and embarrassed at home to a team that has never before beaten an FBS school was as dismal as it gets. As others have commented, the score could have been actually worse than it was.
