Since there's no doubt that Danny Hurley will want all of our input into next year's roster, here's a good site to start our research.

College Basketball Portal

Personally, I think he designed a blue print to win college basketball games and a lot of schools like Michigan, Florida, Illinois, etc., went to school on it. Would like to see us edge back towards it - more rim protection, multiple ball handlers and a smidge more athleticism.

I hope we retain all of our players - I thought I saw the old Solo over the past two games before Breeding stepped up to get him off the court last night. Reibe, Mullins, etc., etc., all should come back. Add in a giant, a point guard and some freak athlete and we're off.

Are those this year's current NIL figures? I wonder if they are anywhere close to being accurate. I thought AJD got a lot more than $2.7 and did Tarris get $3.3??

Wow - it those numbers are true, there's a lot of wasted money out there - $5million for Yaxel, I wouldn't give him anywhere near 1/4 of that.
There's guys in the NBA earning less than 2million who would punk that guy - some of those numbers are crazy. What would someone like Spencer or DC demand? Castle would break the bank (sorry Ruff)

UConn needs: A proven 5, physical 4 with a middie game and who can shoot the 3 and ball handlers who can penetrate and score
Maybe UConn needs to think about moving Silas (if he stays) to the 2 (but not for that $)
He doesn't seem to like to or plain doesn't know how to take the ball to the hoop and finish.
This is something all UConn PGs have been able to do - even Smith did it more than Silas.
I think Silas has some really good attributes - rebounds well and has shown he can hit the middies(why did he stop doing so?) and he can hit the occasional 3 ball. But in my eyes he isn't really a true PG.

It's going to be a very intense interesting offseason

From the portal
1. A 5 with at least 2 years of experience who is a good rim protector and rebounds well.
2. A stretch 4 with size and length with at least 2 years experience.
3. Assuming Silas stays. A pg with at least 2 years experience but with size (6.4 to 6.6
4. If Braylon goes pro, a 3 who can shoot the lights out.
In the end. I trust the staff

I thought that this thread was going to be a soft suggestion that you wanted some posters here to enter the portal.

"Maybe you can follow Luke Murray. Lord knows Boston College needs fans. In the end, it doesn't matter where you go, you just can't stay here."

Najai Hines has moved into the "names to watch" category officially per Trilly.

I'm taking a senior Steph over Yaxel too.

This list has a ton of exhausted seniors on it, hypothetical I'd imagine.

Silas at 4mm would be quite the price tag. He talked about having to make a decision on whether he's coming back next year after the game as though it's up in the air. He might be just saying it. 4mm for him at PG is a lot of coin. I'm wish you on him as a PG.

Silas’ hesitation to drive has always been strange to me given his relative athleticism but I also think that he’s about as much of a PG as Newton was his first year here. So I wouldn’t count him out completely

I didn't see it but I cannot believe "self-deleting" yourself wasn't a slight over-reaction.

In the event of a failure, I recommend the Grateful Dead's "China Doll."

Yaxel was the best player on the team that won the natty. What's that worth?

I will give credit to Yaxel. He definitely was not 100% in the championship game but still gave it his all.

Portal? No.

Fall in a volcano? Yep.

I would take all of the dollar figures with a huge grain of salt. There are some listed that I think you could safely half at a minimum. Also, if you look at the list in reverse order, you see some players who have an NLI value of zero. Ouch.

We are high quality rumored to be actively pursuing him.
Najai Hines to UConn screams Tarris Reed 2.0.

Big, talented center part of an awful, inefficient offense that needs work on his conditioning.

Hines is the exact type of marble slab Hurley and his staff molds.

Just like 2 days ago when Dan Hurley "texted" Braylon Mullins, Shane Tuttle is a parody account

If in conference. Najai Hines would be great!! He also went to elementary school my wife teaches at here in NC. Mobile 6’10”

It would have been cheaper if your wife had steered him here initially.

Does anyone have access to HD Intelligence? UConn leans heavily on this to help narrow in on potential transfer recruits. Luke Murray was involved with this so I wonder who will take the lead on it now.

The RuffRuff Alternate Access™:

How UConn men’s basketball team uses analytics company in recruiting, player analysis: ‘It’s a tool’

Hung out with this former Xavier player a little this weekend. He was at the UConn parties I was lucky enough to go to and it was interesting listening to him talk about the transfer portal players value...

I've also never felt so small physically.
