POLL: How have you felt in previous regional semis...

...as compared to going into this one?

UConn has, of course, now been to 21 consecutive Sweet 16s. Of the previous 20 trips to the Sweet 16, Eight such appearances resulted in national championships. Five appearances lasted until the national semis (1996, 2001, 2008, 2011, 2012), five lasted until the regional finals (1994, 1997, 1998, 2006, 2007), and twice, sadly enough, has UConn's run ended right here in the Round of 16 (1999, 2005).

In other words, Uconn's season journey has had every possible destination from here. Some of those outcomes were entirely expected, and happily so. Some were expected but sad (e.g., perhaps you figured UConn was living on borrowed time in 2005). And some results have been shocking.

So this is my question to you: how confident do you feel in 2014 relative to how you've felt the last 20 seasons? Voting in the poll, as well as discussions in the thread, are most welcomed!

This is the most complete team Geno has ever had. Alot of height that can score inside and out. 3 steller shot blockers making the inside very difficult to score. A lot of scorers and shooters. Finally healthy and hope they stay that way. This team blows out everybody with ease and confidence because they are insync. Bottom line is if ND makes it they will be blown out too. ND does not have enough defense to stop UConn this season and the height advantage is to much. Couple that with UConns perimeter shooting and its just to much for any team to handle.

I'm not so optimistic as you with ND. I think Uconn would win the game, but by a margin of about 10 points.

I am as confident as I've ever been about this team. Particularly with respect to the Lincoln Regional. Lots and lots of bad things would have to happen for UCONN not to get to the FF.

As far as the Regional is concerned, I'm every bit as confident as 2002. I'd like to see the equivalent of the 2002 E8 game this year, I think this year's team could deliver a similar beatdown. There's some better F4 competition out there this year, but that's not what this poll asks.
