UConn has, of course, now been to 21 consecutive Sweet 16s. Of the previous 20 trips to the Sweet 16, Eight such appearances resulted in national championships. Five appearances lasted until the national semis (1996, 2001, 2008, 2011, 2012), five lasted until the regional finals (1994, 1997, 1998, 2006, 2007), and twice, sadly enough, has UConn's run ended right here in the Round of 16 (1999, 2005).
In other words, Uconn's season journey has had every possible destination from here. Some of those outcomes were entirely expected, and happily so. Some were expected but sad (e.g., perhaps you figured UConn was living on borrowed time in 2005). And some results have been shocking.
So this is my question to you: how confident do you feel in 2014 relative to how you've felt the last 20 seasons? Voting in the poll, as well as discussions in the thread, are most welcomed!
