Olander plays OK defense, but he doesn't rebound well and doesn't have enough strength to be, overall, a good center in the Big East. If you think that's a knock, I'm sorry. It's just the truth. I think he can play a role, but Nolan deserves more minutes than TO.
See my above post for what seems to me to be pretty clear evidence Olander has been the better player this year. Now tonight Nolan was clearly the better player - and played almost twice as many minutes as Olander! And maybe Nolan will be the better player the next 2 games and next year, and should get more minutes.
So I don't get what people are trying to argue. To me it just seems like people are blasting on Olander for playing 14 minutes, when it's not Olander's fault there was nobody else to play those 14 minutes tonight.
