Most HS recruit 40 times should be looked at with a boulder of salt.

I don't disagree with that at all. But 4.5 is not fast for a slot receiver or a receiver in general it's just not. 31 guys ran faster than a 4.4 in the NFL combine this past year, which has the strictest timing period. How many do you think ran sub 4.5 if that many ran sub 4.4?

I just did a deeper dive:
Ran sub 4.3 = 3 players --> like I said elite.
4.3 - 4.39= 28 players
4.4 - 4.49 = >34 players --> 2 defensive lineman and 3 linebackers in this speed range.

I had to stop at 34 because they only listed top 10 of several positions. For example there may have been 20+ RBs faster than that. All of these are faster than 4.5.

Some news for you, UConn plays college football. The bar is much lower for how fast guys are, there's a reason most college football players don't make the NFL

Based on Mora's following numbers, Plummer is a new follow. And Charlton was not following him when I first saw it this AM.

Interesting. UConn has a fairly intelligent NIL program versus a lot of institutions. It would be terrific if that was used as a selling point to kids in the portal, it would help us to punch above our weight class.
