i noticed this too! is there anything going on with the croatian national team this year? maybe she is staying home for something like that? seems unlikely tho since she opted out of national duty last year for the uconn summer session.

Bingo! The offense is custom made for her, she can be lethal hitting shots coming off well set screens. I think GA knows what he has here.

Toward the end of the SNY interview Geno says Lou is “challenged at the other end of the floor” and they’ll have to work on that with her. I think you can see this in the Fairfield games, where they only really play a simple zone. It’s not that she doesn’t give the effort, but that Fairfield didn’t give her enough experience in the complex schemes UConn plays.

But his quip was, she fits in well with the more recent UConn guards.

Exactly. He excepted only Paige and Nika, and grouped her with everyone else (ie Caroline and Azzi) as needing to work on their defense. That’s not a bad group to be in.

Paige said Ayanna was dominating the weight room but I have not seen her in the recent clips after the 1st practice clips. I wonder if that elbow whack was more of an issue
