Ware looks like a monster. Kinda surprised Muss didn’t bag himReally strong first game against a likely top 25 team. Outside of playing the likely #1 team UNC this was the best option. From Jon Rothstein:
18. Oregon
Projected Starting 5:
G Will Richardson
G Jermaine Couisnard
F Quincy Guerrier
F Kel’el Ware
C N’Faly Dante
Projected Bench: Nate Bittle, Kel’el Ware, Rivaldo Soares, Lok Wur, Tyrone Williams, Keeshawn Barthelemy
Key Losses: Eric Williams, Jacob Young, Franck Kepnang, Isaac Johnson, De’Vion Harmon
Key Newcomers: Tyrone Williams (JUCO), Kel’el Ware, Keeshawn Barthelemy (Colorado), Jermaine Couisnard (South Carolina)
You play 3 games on the 24, 25, and 27 of November so:Outside of UNC this was the best case scenario.. You know we weren't going to get Villanova but Alabama would have been a nice fit too. Oh well it is what it is, do we have dates on these games yet?
Joking?Hate this matchup for UConn. Altman will probably coach circles around Hurley.
Yes as stated agreed with the latter, but your first point is also very true. It's possibly a great path, just like with Atlantis, but certainly a gauntlet. At least our 2nd game is guaranteed to be good too with MSU/Bama being 2 good teams.certainly gives us the opportunity to rack up the 3 best wins of the tourney: 1) Oregon; 2) MSU/Bama; 3) UNC/Nova but damn we don't wanna lose the first game and wind up in the losers bracket against Portland St and ISU...
8PM EST start time. Thank God it's not the 10PM or 10:30PM start time. Our guys would be sleep walking for that. We might catch MSU/Bama being extra tired...hopefully they play 5 overtimes until 2AM
Would've liked an easier first game to get into the winner's bracket side easier. Don't like the "away" nature of it.
