PC is lucky we plsy them at all. Those guys from Bryant seem feisty. They could be a better game. Definitely wouldn't whine about $2 beer night.

So, keep away some UConn fans vs. having a sell out.... Hmmmm. ;)
They’d probably rather have 13,000-14,000 in MSG with 6,000 or 7,000 UConn fans not there than sell out Carnesseca.

But a weekend game at MSG would probably sell out. But with A LOT of UConn fans. But it's a sell out.

Pitino knows it’s a bad look for their brand having a split crowd that is open raucous for UConn. That looks terrible for prospective recruits.
He shouldn’t invite them to that game if it’s an issue. Non P3 schools need the revenue. Ticket sales are the best way to get revenue outside of conference pay outs.

Shirt game? I remember a low scoring rock fight that was absolutely brutal to watch live. To your credit I remember plenty of PC fans, glad that game has been back in Gampel

I agree about not inviting recruits to that game. But lots of recruits will catch some or much of that game on tv and question why there are so many UConn fans there. I think if UConn’s program had been on the level it was in the mid 90s in the mid 80s, UConn fans would have had a tough time getting lots of tickets in MSG then. Louie when he had Mullin and Walter Berry had that city energized.

I was there. Crowd was awesome. Uconn played horrible. I’m sure we will play providence in Hartford again.

I’d be surprised if the AD honors his request. However, I could see a strong push to schedule that game on a weeknight rather than on a Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday.
That St. John’s’ has no control over. The league office schedules games with Fox. All any school controls is where their home games are played.

Assuming it’s on Fox. What if it’s on CBS Sports Network? Also, MSG would need to be available on specific dates where the Knicks and Rangers would not be home and the arena wouldn’t be used for other purposes such as concerts. Weekday games happen all the time in the league of course.
