1. Can you say inauspicious start? Two attempted 3s that had zero chance of going in, followed by a mystery foul at the other end.
2. FINALLY a made shot after 3 frustrating minutes for both teams.
3. I swear, Solo misses more layups than 3 pointers.
4. Pre-game, I figured that Diarra might not see any time today unless things get out of hand. The fact that he was in before the 10 minute mark in the 1st half tells us all we need to know about the game.
5. This is NOT going well.
6. Mahaney looks terrified whenever he touches the ball.
7. Apparently, we can't rebound and can't shoot.
8. The definition of ugly basketball... not a player on either team is in double figures at the half.
9. Turnover on 1st possession of 2nd half.
10. Steal on first Hall possession.
11. Airball on our 2nd possession. This is just not any fun to watch.
12. Diarra makes both FTs to cut the deficit to 4 a couple minutes into the half.
13. Ball should never attempt a layup again. You're a spot up jump shooter, Solo... stay in your lane.
14. The foul on McNeeley at 11:36 was an absolute joke. Worst acting job ever, but the ref bought it.
15. On the replay, Samson's block at 9:50 looked pretty clean.
16. Ball hits a 3 off the bounce to reclaim the lead at 9:36.
17. 7point lead at 1:42 off consecutive 3s from Liam and Alex.
18. Why no defense on the Hall possession at 17 seconds? Giving them an uncontested layup with 12 left was just dumb, and it cost us in the end.
19. 54 seconds left in OT with a 5 point lead. And we managed to lose.
20. That was disgusting. Certainly in the running for worst performance since rejoining the BE.

13 is easy to explain. He can't finish with his non-dominant (right) hand. The layups he misses are because he contorts his body to use his left hand, usually as a reverse. He got blocked to smithereens at the end of the Creighton game because he was on the right side of the rim and he tried to lay it in with his left.

This is exactly what Jalen Adams did the entire 4 years that he was at UConn. It needs to be a point of emphasis for him in the off-season. Given that Hurley didn't force Jalen to develop his off hand and become ambidextrous at the rim, I'm not confident it will happen.

This is flawed reasoning. Dan Hurley came to UConn for Jalen's senior year, and Jalen had his best all around season by a country mile.

Solo is a SG being forced to play PG. Watching him feels very similar to Hawkins frosh year. Dude just couldn’t put the ball on the floor to save his life and went to the rim timid. Granted Hawk was longer and taller, so he was able to adjust a bit easier than Solo.

Whats great about this, oddly enough, is it’s clearly the number one offensive skill he needs to further develop. Focusing on on-ball D and driving this off season should pay very large dividends next year. Solo is not the problem.

Defense 101 stop the ball. That wasn’t even matador defense that was red carpet crap very surprised at Diarra, big part of the loss make them use clock throw a pass or 2. Awful

1. & 2.: I was also so annoyed at the first three minutes.

I understand wa're in an era of unprecendented 3pt shooting, but our first three shot attempts were three pointers.

Peg me as old-school, but I would prefer to dictate the narrative and get a closer shot; quick threes put no pressure on the defense.
