Pick One Only - Tough Choice

Presuming the criteria was best or most accomplished, it has a different order to it as opposed to who mixed talent, accomplishment and whose persona resonated with the typical fan. The first - Stewie, D and Paige. The second - Paige, D and Stewie. IMO..

At this point it is a blowout for DT. Stewie is a problem because of her size but her skills would not be enough if she didn't have a 7'1 wingspan. DT changed the way women played the game and until CC she was the standard all players were measured against. Paige is a good college player but she has to show she can play with the big girls before she gets any credit at all and really shouldn't even be on this list...yet.
I agree Paige was a very good WCBB player but not great and didn't change the game like DT and CC..having Maya with DT and Stewie would have been much more appropriate

They were booing? I thought they were mooing. Nobody, pre-DT, played the game like DT. She is the GOAT. Maybe in 3 years Ms. Strong's name will enter the discussion. If so, threads about who the 4 on the mountain will be will get very interesting. Right now, it's Paige.

Am I missing something? They never seem to be asking a question. Is it best UConn career? That would be Stewie. Is it best pro career? That would be Diana. Is it most followers on social media? That would be Paige.
I guess they just left it up to our interpretation. Ugh!

I can't remember..who's the 4 tht were voted on the mountain so far?

Like most programs we can talk about who would be on the "Mount Rushmore" of UConn women's basketball, but what I think is really interesting. Is that whomever we leave off would be the very pinnacle of another schools woman's college basketball program. Say we picked Stewie, Diana, Maya, and Sue Bird as our Mount Rushmore. That would leave Paige, Swin Cash, Rebecca Lobo, Kara Wolters, Dolson, Tina Charles, Napheesa Collier, etc., off the list and I could keep going.

So while our very best have been amazing, to me the thing that is most striking is the incredible depth of talent that has come through Storrs.

BS was 4 for 4…that’s pretty good!
Yes, it is--coupled with the best array of talent ever assembled in WBB. Stewie played with about 5 or 6 All-Americans. Several reserve players have had 5+ years playing in the WNBA...

Sorry but Breanna is the only player who has ever led their team to FOUR straight national championships. Than alone should signal her as Queen of the Mountain.

Diana revolutionized how the game of women’s basketball was going to be played when she entered college. And, afterwards.
I love Diana, she was beyond a great player, but I don't see how she revolutionized the game.

Before Diana they played girls basketball. Diana didn't play girls basketball, she played basketball. Many have been emulating her ever since.
Really, so the ladies playing at places like Southern Cal and Louisanna Tech were just out there throwing the ball around and giggling at each other? That's the same mindset that feels that the men playing basketball before Michael Jordan didn't exist and football didn't really start until Tom Brady played quarterback.

Not getting into the merits of each, but it seems a little fishy that at least three other women who could be considered, Maya, Phee, and Tina, are Black. Maybe it’s just a coincidence.
