Less than 24 hours until the big moment. Getting my shoes shined, shirt pressed, and suit selected. I think I'll be going with a tweed jacket, navy blue skinny tie, white shirt, blue pants and light brown cap toe oxford shoes. Gotta make a good impression for Randy. Also, I have to speed to school after for my "middler review," a meeting where my school evaluates me and crafts a letter giving me either a positive or negative review. I'm placing much more importance on the former event.

You know who else put tons of thought/preparation into their appearance for UConn football events? I'm surprised there's no cranberry pants or red sweater, especially after you kept that avatar for so long ;)

If you want to cast a pall over the session, wear a UCF hat and appear to take an inordinate amount of notes while sitting up front.

Or to kiss up, wear a Randy #1 hat and your shirt from the Fiesta bowl.

Whatever you do, dont be a wallflower.

Sounds like you’re gonna get whacked like Pesci in Goodfellas.

It was a good time. Sat in with coach dunn, who seems to be really intelligent guy. Qbs working hard to learn the system. Pindell looks to be the starter and most talented QB (today at least). Tyler davis had a great td catch. Lazarus has the longest arms I'd ever seen and made a couple really nice plays. The husky position is still a DB.

Crap - we forgot the obviously thing to do here in this setting. You should have brought in a play design. A detailed doodle stuffed in your pocket that you whip out at introduction. Something wacky self made or blatantly ripped off from the NFL - doesn't matter...just could have pitched your play to Dunn. I probably would have brought the "Philadelphia Special" from the super bowl.

So practice was open to the public most likely because someone from the class of 2018 would be attending.
Did you notice anyone there in the meetings?

Couple other things...zavier scott looked pretty good at RB. He was bigger than i thought. RS freshman garrison burnett was also impressive. The new center's snaps were high a few times, nothing awful though

Shoulda brought a scale to weigh Garson...

I didn't see him, couldnt remember his # and theres no service in there. Not worried about that. It's hard to see a lot of what's going on during practice, as for most of the time there are like 5 things simultaneously happening in different spots. I hung by QBs mostly.

Were you the only one there not part of the team?

Only visitor who wasn't either Lucien and his parents or a college/high school coach from the area. Coaches from Springfield College, CCSU, and Capital Prep were all there. I was the only random person, but the staff was super nice and gracious, and thanked me for not being insane (they were worried about who would respond to opening things up). I spoke a lot with Robert Downes, Michael Zyskowski, and another recruiting assistant whose name is escaping me--all nice people. I'd encourage anyone who isn't going to be annoying or disruptive to definitely go...they'll receive you graciously and let you watch practice and do whatever as long as you're following the rules.

Silly exit.

Draw up a fake fake FG attempt and gently slip it in to Randy's clipboard.

My name is George- I have a roomful of plays I have diagrammed through the years. I have so many plays that I have used with my other friend Paul. They are just collecting dust like me. OC Dunn - they are yours just ask.

Is this the point where the security comes in and escorts "Crazy George" out of the building?

Sure...granted, it's literally from one day so take it with a grain of salt. Although Edsall said there was no depth chart, it appeared to me during their scrimmage time that there were rotations that looked like 1st, 2nd, 3rd stringers. Pindell was with first stringers and Washington with the 2s. Washington looked good, but Pindell had some really nice throws while rolling out of the pocket. Washington was definitely the second best QB in my opinion. I didn't get to see McAfee for an extensive period of time, but last year during spring I thought he sailed a lot of balls high and had some accuracy issues, and that had not changed in what I saw today. A lot of balls missed the mark high--I wouldn't count on him being a starting QB for us, but maybe he just had a bad day today. The only other QB present is Bisack, and he looked fine but he doesn't really matter, as he probably won't ever see the field. Krajewski not here yet, so obviously nothing that can be known on that end. I will say that Marvin Washington seemed like he was working really hard to learn the scheme diligently during the film session--asked a lot of questions, looked for clarification, etc. he was definitely putting in the effort there.

Not sure. Dunn was a nice dude. I came into the film session late and was afraid he'd be pissed, but he was fine, and then he came up and introduced himself after. Super quick chat, but nice of him to come up to me before practice quick. I came away really liking him after listening to him teach the players.

Thanks. I was wondering about Washington. It feels like he will get a long look.
