I don't think we're gonna get Gilbert either. Probably why we're expressing interest here and with other recruits.
 
There is a place between having a recruit totally locked up and panic to find an alternative. Not here on the Boneyard, but in life.

Pierre-Louis is 2017. And who are these other recruits? I haven't seen UConn connected to another 2016 point guard except for Gilbert.

Ramsy and Fisher
 
There are going to be very few classes where we don't pursue a high level guard that can handle the ball. I imagine if Gilbert were to commit today, we'd still continue recruiting this kid for '17.

Definitely, who knows how long we will have Adams. 2/3 years.

Not sure why Scout lists UConn with Ramsey - no indication that we are interested or have ever offered. Quote from him in a most recent Scout interview with him (from May), "The offers I have: Texas, Cal, USC, Arizona State, North Carolina State, Florida State, Washington."

And with Fisher, we don't seem to be too involved either. From Scout (6/19): Recruiting wise Fisher is still considering a long list of schools. Some of the programs that have been in contact include Memphis, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida,Ohio State, Iowa State, Baylor, and NC State.


 
They list UConn on each of their lists of interested schools. Maybe it is old. But if UConn is off them, I really hope we are in a really good place with Gilbert. We need a P.G. in 16,

Our lack in pursuit of PG in the 2016 tells me that we feel confident in where we are with Gilbert.

Was just checking 247 and noticed Meyer picked him coming to us. Wasn't sure if we were recruiting very hard but that's usually a good sign. 247 has him at 4 stars.
 
Someone needs to put together a mixtape for this kid. The most recent one I found is from when he's an 8th grader.
 
He had a lot of hype coming into high school but it seems like things have quieted down for him.
