Alterique Gilbert came into camp with a point to prove and he did just that. The UCONN bound guard does a good job of handling the break as he pushes the ball coast to coast with a speed dribble or will look up to advance the ball with the pass. This scoring point guard can take it all the way to the rim and score or make the pass from his penetration to an open teammate.

Would be great if landed on the 19 usa team or @ nike hoop summit. PG position is just crazy deep in '16

sounds nothing like bazz to me. AG is a compact guard with crazy athleticism, bazz was a cerebral scorer with great instincts and a better frame. Pierre jackson comp is pretty legit, or if you want to run wild ty lawson (who gilbert compared himself to in that DX interview)

Sounds like the knocks on him are size and shooting. If he improves his shooting, watch out. We've seen what undersized guards can do. Speed can get away from length.

• Made a conscious effort to get others involved but isn't afraid to start getting jumpers up if he sees one go down.

This kid is filthy. Can't wait to see him and Adams in the same backcourt. Crazy ball handling and passing ability, not to mention the ability to score all over the floor.

So shifty. Sick handle. Good vision. Even hit a floater. This kid will be unreal in Ollie's system next to Jalen. That will be one HELL of a backcourt.
