You read his post correctly. The attempt at humor in my post just didn't translate.

Whats great about this thread is the lack of diarrhea jokes.
I wouldn't say this eliminates Jones. While I doubt Ollie would take on 7 freshman in the 2016 class, we will be losing 4 seniors, currently have 2 open scholarships, and can expect that at least one of Purvis/Danny Hams/Amida will declare for the draft. In that scenario we would certainly have a need for players, and Jones would be a good one to grab.A lot to like there..and yes, he does look explosive. He's finishing everything above the rim and blocking shots (yes, I know, some blocks are against kids that looked like me at 16, but still).
I think if the staff can nab him now, do it. He's only getting better and likely to blow up. I think this probably eliminates Ty Jones as they are very similar players, but Diarra looks bigger to me, with a longer wingspan than Jones.
He looks like a very solid four year player who could contribute right away.

Actually 3 open now unless u r expecting Gibbs.I wouldn't say this eliminates Jones. Looks athletic for 6'8.5". Hopefully he's aggressive on the glass. (if he comes to UConn)
So now 3 is on record as saying he both "expects it" and "doesn't expect it" to happen.
He's becoming a bonafide recruiting expert right before our eyes.
Actually 3 open now unless u r expecting Gibbs.

Well I like your positive outlook as we don't have enough of that on the board.Yes
When ur sittin in a Chevy.....When you're sliding into first.....
A lot of kids push college off nowadays to be older, stronger and more ready to contribute right away.I still wonder if there's late reclassification potential here. This is from last month's article about PSA's basketball team being absorbed by Woodstock Academy:

The "option to go to college" is obviously the telling quote. If he had that option last month, why not in September? Especially since he's supposed to be a real classroom achiever and had Ivy League schools knocking on his door.
I doubt he'd be ready to contribute at a high level this year, but I wouldn't - at all - be against getting him on campus early. It would help us space out our scholarships better, and having the extra body for practice or certain in-game emergencies couldn't hurt. At all.
Wondering if our insiders have any intel on this.
Yes. But a lot reclassify late, and we have scholarships open.A lot of kids push college off nowadays to be older, stronger and more ready to contribute right away.
If there is a no chance he can see the floor next year, I would rather not waste a year of eligibility just to have a body at practice.Yes. But a lot reclassify late, and we have scholarships open.

Not sure I agree. Injuries happen, and - again - staggering our scholarship load is a good idea. This past year is an example of what happens when there is too much talent concentrated in one or two classes, as opposed to spread out across all four years. If there is a no chance he can see the floor next year, I would rather not waste a year of eligibility just to have a body at practice.
