An amazing game to watch: amazingly poor for 5 minutes, then amazingly like some teams of old for the rest of the game.

The freshmen have really bought into the uptempo offense and suffocating defense, and they performed very well in both duties.

The upperclass players put on a clinic after those first few minutes. I was incredibly impressed by Aaliyah's ownership of the low post on offense. And she showed enough variety of moves that defenses will sit on that whirl-to-the-left-side move to their peril. And the ballhandlers found her with great passes when she got the defense on her back.

Only 4 TOs in the first 3 quarters? Hurrah! Well done, ladies!

Sixty-five percent of Q's shots have been 3s. Since she shoots at a much higher rate (50% higher) than anyone on the team excepting Paige and makes the 2s at 59.1% (3rd best) and the 3s at 40.5% (2nd best), she will produce points rapidly.

What’s most interesting to me is rebounding. The eye test Q seems like an in shaky good rebounder for her size and seems to have the best nose for the ball in the team. That she is third in offense and total rebounds seems to prove that out.
