Peacock/I’m an Idiot

So, Here's an Update:

On Friday I followed the 1st Link to the 7-Day Trial and subscribed. Peacock charged me the 1st month's Fee at $7.99 + Tax.

This morning I cancelled the Trial and Shazzam the $2.99/ month offer popped up. I accepted the offer and Peacock charged me the $2.00 + Tax and refunded me the $7.99 + Tax! Eazy-Peasey! I can now watch the 8 games that will be broadcast on Peacock!

Thanks for your help!
I have not looked at the links yet so forgive me if this is a stupid question, which it probably is, but when you say the $2.99/ month offer popped up, where does it pop up? Does it pop up in your email or on the same webpage where you cancelled the 7-Day Trial?

The offer is presented as soon as you click off to cancel your subscription on the site; Not via email.

I did the $20/year black friday deal last year. Received notification my plan was coming up for renewal for $109 for the year. I went to my account to cancel and I'm being offered $39.99/year premium for another year. Not quite as good as the $2.99 per month

Thanks for posting that. I received the same email. I was going to cancel and sign up for Walmart+ for $98 because it includes Peacock Premium and I would get free shipping but now I'll just stick with Peacock for $39.99 per year.

I looked up the cost via my Xfinity TV and it's at 10.99 a month for the required premium level and you can cancel any time. Not sure if they would present a win you back offer after cancelling?

So, I was confused and thought tonight's Michigan State game was on Peacock. I started the free one week trial only to discover tonight’s game isn’t on Peacock. When I went to cancel Peacock, I was offered a 6 month subscription for $2.99 a month which I signed up for. So I’m an idiot, but I’ll end up with the 8 UConn games on Peacock for $18.00

So to watch all the games I need ESPN+, ESPN, ESPN2,TNT, truTV, Peacock, and Fox Spots? Anything else?

I bet the one remaining streaming platform that doesn’t have a UConn game is really upset.

Last year, I must have signed up for a similar $20-ish annual Peacock offer. Today, I received a similar alert my year ends 11/28. I’ll cancel, then see what’s offered after a day or 2 after my current deal ends.

Don’t care too much about the next Peacock game (E TX A&M 12/5), but will definitely renew before Butler 12/16 game.

I am thinking about the 14.99 peacock and apple tv combo. There are a few things I want to watch on apple tv and it looks like that costs 12.99 on its own

I had subscribed to Peacock a few years back and then canceled. When I tried to do the $20 deal last Nov for black friday, it would not accept my email address and said account already exists (even though no plan was active on it). I had to choose another email address to use for it. Hopefully the BF deal isn't just for new customers. Mine expires Nov 30 so I am in a similar predicament as you.

They normally require a new email address, FYI. There’s an easy trick though. Put a period (.) in between any letter of your email of choice. Works like a charm. Then next year move the period over one letter.

Play the game with Peacock, other streaming services, ISPs, etc, rotate household member names as customers, respective email addresses, credit cards, etc. If it helps, good chance my spouse may be a new Peacock subscriber in Dec.
