Parity this year

Does Indiana play Princeton? Another win against a ranked foe would put Princeton on the cusp of the Top 20.

As I predicted earlier NC offensive woes continue - down to Vermont 28-17 at the half.*

Maryland in a battle with Green Bay and down a point at the half 30 - 29**

*NC escaped with a 54 - 51 win.

**MD went on to defeat GB 68 - 59

We're less than 2 weeks into the season and look at all the losses for the preseason top 12
1 LSU - lost to #20 Colorado by double digits
2 UConn - preseason lost to unranked NC State by double digits
3 Iowa - lost to unranked Kansas State at home
4 UCLA - nearly lost to unranked Princeton
5 Utah - lost to #19 Baylor
6 South Carolina - they've been good
7 Ohio State - lost to #21 USC
8 Virginia Tech - lost to #3 Iowa
9 Indiana - lost by 32 to #15 Stanford
10 Notre Dame - lost by 29 to #6 South Carolina
11 Tennessee - lost to #18 Florida State
12 Ole Miss - lost to unranked Oklahoma by double digits

Only South Carolina and UCLA have come out unscathed early in the year, though even UCLA looks far from being a top 5 team IMO. Should be a fun season ahead.
Sc and UCLA are big… they have multiple MCDonald All Americans, but it’s early. I must say there is better parity, much more attention to the games. Go Huskies.

Louisville, fresh off their first loss (to UR Alabama) are currently losing to a 2-3 Liberty team who is coming off a loss to Gonzaga, 102 - 59. Score after end of 3rd qtr is 52 -46 Liberty.*

Louisville turned up the defensive pressure late and went on to win 72 -63. They play Gonzaga tomorrow. Good luck!

Yikes. Does Walz’s seat get a bit hot if they start spiraling now?

I was watching that game. Casual Oregon Ducks fan here. Santa Clara was on FIRE!! They just could not miss, especially from deep. 16 three pointers made. The Ducks could not make shots. I think was the worst loss for Coach Graves since they lost to UConn back in 2017-18 range.
I'm certainly enjoying seeing Pao Pao in the Garnet and Black. She is terrific.

Several undefeateds will go down today:

#3 Colorado (6-0) vs #10 NC State (6-0)

UR Arkansas (6-0) vs UR Marquette (5-0)

NC State takes a 16 point lead after the 1st quarter and never looked back defeating Colorado by 18.

KSU defeats NC by 7 - NC scored 56 points in the loss.

Marquette outscores Arkansas 46 - 27 in the first half and cruise to a 16 point win.

Cincy by 24 over Kentucky (now 2-5 on the season)Ouch!

Missouri loses to (2-2) Kent State by 3

Fun but (somewhat) meaningless statistics:

FGCU holding a 2-pt advantage heading in to the 4th quarter over #18 NC. Gonna be an interesting last quarter.

UNC off to a brutal start this year and it could be much worse

Awaiting the rematch between Iowa and KSU....will CC avenge her team's only loss so far this season? She shot terribly in that first game 9/32 and 2/16 with only 3 assists.

I ordered FloSports for a month to see those 2 games tonight.

4:13 left in the game Iowa up 67 - 62
55 seconds to go Iowa w/the ball and 2-pt lead
Clark w/a couple of dagger 3's down the stretch
Iowa wins 77 - 70

That was a good game. The 2 Flo games tonight were worth getting it for a month.

Probably tired of starting the game on the bench......
Oddly enough, she performs better coming off the bench from what I remember of her time at Duke. Miami has a lot of guards though. Will be interesting to see if she will replace someone, like her Canadian counterpart Dwyer, in the starting rotation.
