I am LOVING Moriah Jefferson right now. So tough. Leave it all on the court!
 
Turnovers creeping back into the mix for the US team, as they have all tournament. It'd be best to tighten that up in the 2nd half...

Sure would be helpful if Reimer would get some rebounds when she's in the game. Played 8 minutes without a single rebound. Never mind that TO she had just throwing the ball into the middle of the floor with no USA player around. Yes she was covered, but she flung the ball without looking.

USA with 8 TO's many of them unforced. Breanna has to get more then 5 shots in a half. Don't know how she can with how physical Canada and other teams have played her in last three games.
 
I'm wondering what Mo's ankle will do at halftime if she cools down

I missed the beginning of the game. Where is Alaina Coates?

This is where I wish Geno was coach...he'd know exactly how to get his players to come out the right way after a tied half.
 
USA should be able to stop Kia's drives to the basket, she's not that quick. She's also drawn 4 fouls on USA players. Leading scorere for Canada with 17 points.

They should is right. You'd think Stewie and Mo have the advantage practicing with her so long and "knowing" her handles and drives. Kia looks FANTASTIC
 
Taya Reimer 6'3" has played 18 minutes in this game without a Single Rebound. Stewart is tripled teamed and neither Reimer or Coates got into position to get a pass, results in a Breanna TO's. Not her fault.

Maybe we shouldn't try to feed Stewart when she's tripled in the first place.
 
I'm guessing that if we were going to see Mitchell at all, we already would have. Bluder has about as much confidence in her bench as I do (and that's not too much).

It takes a week to win the Gold, but only five minutes to lose it. This is getting ugly for our kids.
 
US has no answer for Canada's zone defense. No inside game and no perimeter shooting.
 
Tough to watch. Can anybody set a screen? Can anybody besides UConn players switch on a screen? Where is the movement on offense? Riemer and Mavunga both stink on defense.

Team USA never heard of ball screens, pick and rolls, or moving without the ball. They stand around like statues. Pathetic. Reimer is useless. Mavunga, ditto. They show absolutely NO hustle. Plum tries but is overmatched. Unless USA can get out in transition, they cannot score in half court. Hard to watch. Stewie and Moriah are the only players out there for USA.

- Whoever selected this team's players should be fired immediately !!!!!!

- Why oh why is Stewie defending guards at the top of the key so far away from the paint????

- Only Stewie and Moriah show any fight out there.

Yes they have. On a team there is something called team defense, which means switching and helping. Thus everyone is responsible. Posts are meant to help when someone penetrates.
 
What offense is this team is trying run? All I see is players standing around. On defense they look slow, lost with very little effort. Stewie and Moriah must be thanking their lucky stars they are going back to their UConn team mates after this game.
 
Reimer 25 minutes played without a single rebound. Every other player for Team USA has at least one. Mavunga has 2 in 11 minutes of play.
