Cunningham has become a solid veteran in the W, and I appreciate the fact that she has assumed the role of team enforcer, particularly in regards to CC. But as you indicate, she’s become something of a loose cannon when it comes to the press, which is not going to gain her a lot of fans outside of Indianapolis. Paige is 6 years her junior, and displays far more maturity and poise.
And this, my BY friend, is why we are so appreciative of CD's training with the team on interactions with the media. We are blessed to have a coach that invests the time into the players and teaches them good etiquette. There have been a number of times that "loaded" Qs were tossed at a UConn player, and they handled it well.

Clark is a great player and was obviously the ROY last year. But she got off to a really slow start in the W for her first 10 games or so until it started to click for her. In addition, Clark played on a much better team with IN than Paige is stuck with in Dallas.
Like a lot of casual fans I see that you're very impressed with the PPG stat. Make sure to check out Clark's record setting TO stat along with the shooting percentages. I said creative, not sloppy.

You are correct but ever since Geno said below during the 2024 NCAA tournament many of the CC fan boys/girls took it as a slight to "the anointed one" and have made their disdain for Geno and Paige no secret on social media and refuse to let it go.

I said before Emma, Stewie, and JJ need to get out of New York and join Paige in Dallas. Having a true team player who is a point guard would help all 3 of them win another championship at this stage of their careers.
I'm sure Emma, Stewie, and JJ would love to leave the great venue they are playing in Brooklyn, and move to the 6K mid-major gym they are playing in now. They were supposed to move to a renovated arena in Dallas next year, but that has been pushed back another year. This is depressing, Paige deserves better. If not for the bad luck of the draft, she could be in L.A. playing for a playoff spot with young great players like Cam and Rickea.
For those 3 it is about winning championships not the arena. All 3 are in their 30's and time to win championships is running out. The team in New York right now isn't very good and will be lucky to get out of the 1st round this year. Cloud isn't the answer as a point guard. And Emma, Stewie, and JJ need to be utilized better in an offense and Paige already is better utilizing her teammates then anyone on the Liberty.

When she is back, and playing with Meeseman, look out. There is no better foursome in the WNBA than Stewie, Emma, JJ and Sabrina. Lloyd, Young, Gray and Wilson are close. Admittedly, NY must play better defense.

On Paige’s ankle-breaking moves, there were a couple times when she was isolated, one-on-one with an LA Big after a switch, either Z or Brink. The Bigs can’t back off Paige, or she’ll drop a 3 on them. So they have to guard her out on the floor, at which point she immediately starts dealing with her handle, behind her back, between her legs. This typically leads to Paige’s defender getting mesmerized, at which point she blows by them for an easy layup, as if their feet are nailed to the floor. It’s a beautiful thing……
