Paige definitely plays the game like a pro, her anticipated skills on the defense were amazing the way she would jump the passing lanes it kind of reminded me of Angel McCoughtry. Paige arms looked really long, you can tell she’s a true student of the game.

"He's not going to come out with it," huh? After the game Geno dubbed Paige "great." No higher praise than that. When was the last time you heard Coach call a freshman "great" in the first game of her career?

"Great" is not the same as the magic phrase signifying "the stick that stirs the drink" in all of WCBB. I'll give you "Great" is a pretty good thing though.

Remember that Geno spent a lot of time in Minnesota over 3 years or so. I think it was time well spent.

Besides Maya, there was anothter freshman:

So that puts her in pretty good company. But even they experienced some growing pains freshman year, so let's not get too down if Paige has some struggles later in the season. She has shown she is in the same class as some of UConn's greatest players.
