I just think they are different. I used to be in the Paige is way more efficient and wins way more camp, but Paige’s efficiency came down to earth a little and Clark’s got a little better - and they started winning more. So now it’s pretty fair to put them in the same breath - the way Taurasi and Beard were in the same breath for a long time until DT put a lid on that with title No. 3.
Iowa wants to play high scoring games, and Clark has the green light and has the ball in her hands a ton. I have never seen Paige come down and shoot a three (or a jumper) without getting into some sort of offense where other players touch the ball, and Clark does that 4-5 times a game - by design, since they want her to constantly put pressure on the defense and look for shots before the other team is organized.
Iowa has much better spacing than we do, since all of their other perimeter players - Martin, Marshall, Warnock and Taiwo - shoot the 3 at a very high clip. When Clark drives, she doesn’t see three bodies in the paint the way Paige does, since we don’t have that kind of shooting, so people can say and help. Instead, we rely more on ball movement and player movement to get shots. Iowa has a really good system for her to thrive with her shot-making skills, and sometimes I wish we could stick three-point shooters on either wing and just let Paige go to work. In future years Paige should see more driving lanes with Fudd and DuCharme keeping defenders at home, though.
