Paige injured

Really ugly fall as a Villanova player crashed into her going for a loose ball. Not only rolled her ankle, but also had an ugly twist to her knee. Back on the bench in tears with ice bags on her knee and ankle. Prayers that it's not what we all fear but... we will see...

If so that's incredible. But we will see. I wonder if Geno is just trying to channel positivity. Paige looked devastated on the bench whenever they showed her in Q4...

Paige definitely looked to be in a lot of pain. But an ankle injury doesn't worry me that much. if it is more ankle than knee; then i can see why someone would be positive.

Let's relax for a moment.

If you have never had your knee bent and twisted like that, you have no idea the initial pain. I've been there more than once. But the pain and the facial reactions does not mean it's a serious injury.

She is able to walk and the knee and ankle are wrapped in ice to keep the joint from swelling up.

Geno was confident she was fine.

We'll know in the next couple of days the real story.

In the radio post game with CD, Bob Joyce said “after the Paige injury the team” CD jumped in and said I wouldn’t call it and injury, she just got knocked out of the game, she will be fine.

CD said in the interview after the game it wasn't an injury. She'll be fine. At least thats what CD said.

I am a religious person and I do not believe GOD would let a Gifted and also a religious person like PAIGE to suffer another injury in her final year at UCONN. If this is bad, that will be 4 major hits in five years. I'm praying GOD will not let her suffer another tragedy like this. All Boneyard fans pray for Paige. We all love Paige. . GO HUSKIES!!!!

That knee was pretty acutely offset, not twisted. I take no comfort in Geno's off the cuff remarks. Or CD's reported remarks for that matter.

I couldn't get the game on Fox Sports so i had to just listen to it on UCONN+. When the "thing" happened you could hear that the crowd went totally quiet for like 20 seconds. And I mean TOTALLY quiet. It was beyond eerie.

And speaking of Fox Sports, every game now the site asks me to choose my provider. That's new. I don't see how it could be a cookie problem. Also, whenever I first get on the site, the panes at the top are greyed out and I have to hit refresh (F5) to get them to show up. Makes me long for the olden days of ESPN.

Hope Geno is correct. If, heaven forbid, PB needs time to feel 100%, she'll have many BE games to sit out as required. We won't need her at least until early Feb.
