Thank God admission to all sporting events at UConn were free w/ID back in the day; that was the only thing I could afford in college. These kids have it made in the shade!

Has UConn's Fall Semester officially begun? I know K-12 schools have moved up their schedules, but a lot of colleges still don't have class until the day after Labor Day.
 
Paige and Azzi are grad students, aren't they? Does their semester start the same time as the undergrads?

At my college, classes begin on Monday. Of course, I'm on sabbatical so my schedule is wide open for the coming year.

They graduated in May

Paige is definitely a " graduate" student... and I believe Azzi is already into her graduate MBA program.
My guess is that the regular graduate student courses may start a little later. But then again, Flushing
Meadows is not in PARIS, France.... A modest ? drive from Storrs.
 
When I was a grad student at UConn in the 1980s, all classes started at the same time.
 
I don’t think many grad students have classes on Friday. Most of my grad classes were Monday through Thursday

Just saw Paige on ESPN3 coverage of Tiafoe vs. Popyrin match.

Camera wasn’t focused on her, wonder if the cameraman or woman knows who she is.

I’m so happy I saw her and recognized her in that quick shot.

Anyone else see her?
 
I thought I saw Paige in the stands during the Tiafoe match, but I don't think she was in the player box. This just confirms I was right.
 
Other than UConn women's basketball, which occupies more than half of my brain, tennis is my other passion. I go to the Open once or twice every year, for the past 25 years, spend 12+ hours each day, and take about 3000 photos with my SLR (and a 70-200mm lens).

I wasn't watching the whole Tiafoe match and I hadn't looked at this thread before, and when I saw Paige on TV I was super happy and had to tell all of you.

After seeing the thread and all the past posts, I am a little embarrassed :)

Can't wait to see the team play this year (at Seton Hall), will share photos after the game.
 
Considering it's a long weekend and the proximity to Flushing Meadows, why not? If they were my daughter(s), I'd see no harm considering it's the first week of the semester. Now if this was during an exam week, there be some explaining to do ;)
