That convinces the ACC to throw Pitt and SU back.

Katz also reported -- surprise -- that what UConn said at tonight's meeting (that it's committed to building a better Big East) is not representative of what it actually wants (ACC membership).

In other breaking news, the sun set in the West tonight.

Any possibility that the acc wants Texas?...if it were Texas and us, that would be great....Texas and someone else...not so much.

Building a better Big East is UConn's backup plan. maybe the backup backup plan actually.

It's all about money - not how big the other conference is. If it's in the best interst dollars wise to bring in more schools, the ACC will do it. They won't stand at 14 simply because the PAC is staying at 12. If a 16 team conference makes the most money, you are smarter to do it sooner than later. The only problem for UConn is deciding which team brings the most revenue. That might not actually be a problem for UConn. UConns problem might be where they make the most from a 16 team league.

How about we get every big Monday game? Dont't have to split our NCAA tournament money? Reimbursed for the Fiesta financial fiasco?

Maybe the risk of alienating the public is creating just too much heat for anymore changes at the moment.
