1pm ET
-- UCLA @ #16 Arizona St. Already underway at Tempe.

7pm ET
-- #10 Marquette @ Xavier
-- Villanova @ Seton Hall
-- DePaul @ Butler. This could help determine 2nd place in the BE.
-- Georgetown @ St. John's

9pm ET
-- #6 Stanford @ Colorado
-- Cal @ #21 Utah. A critical game for both teams.
-- USC @ Arizona

10pm ET
-- #5 Oregon @ Washington St

11pm ET
-- #9 Oregon St @ Washington

I’m at the ASU-UCLA game right now. 11AM game with busloads of school kids. Plenty of loud UCLA fans here too. Looks like it will be a good, and low-scoring game (typical ASU). 8-7 UCLA 7 minutes in. Onyenwere is a real stud. Eckmark is just TOO skinny...

Do I need to make a separate thread for the Colonial? Or just fit it in here?

Fellow BYers, as a reminder to avoid an admin rath, if you want to post play by play activity, set up a new thread as “Cal vs. Utah” and have at it. This thread is for general score comments and other such tidbits. As I now have free Sling TV for 2 more days, I plan on watching all the PAC12 games and posting with our fine colleague @Plebe

The more the merrier! There's plenty of room in the party boat.

This is intended as a catch-all game thread for all of these games (and any others going on tonight). No need to create a separate thread for each game, imho.

Dang that's early. Mid morning tip times usually don't lead to quality play it seems like.

11pm ET
-- #9 Oregon St @ Washington

Planning on going to this one.

Tied at 44 after 3Q. You never know what will happen in the Pac 12. ASU rolling after a tough win on the road in Corvallis. UCLA reeling after 3 straight home losses. So the Devils should have an easy time back home in Tempe, right? Nope. UCLA getting a big boost from Lauren Miller off the bench w/ 14 points on 7-10 shooting. Ibis couldn't miss against OSU and scored 28, today she has 4 on 2-6 shooting. Maybe UCLA is doing a really good job of defending her.

Onyenwere is 2-14 from the floor. Yikes. ASU up 1 w/ under 4 minutes left.

Whoa. Did UCLA just beat Arizona State? Wow. HUGE win for the Bruins. This could get them just inside the bubble.

.-.
Is UCLA better on the road than at home? 3-1 in road games and 0-3 at home thus far in Pac 12. They've had a tough schedule, having already played Stanford, Cal, Oregon, Oregon St. and Arizona St. They split the season series w/ USC but have yet to see the other bottom feeders Colorado and the Washington schools.

What a great game, a bit sloppy at times but good. That hurt ASU a bit losing at home.

UCLA, like many other teams across the country, is such a mixed bag:
  • Lost @ Loyola Marymount.
  • Went 0-3 in the Virgin Islands, all in close games, vs. UNC, Kentucky and USF.
  • Lost at home to Indiana.
At that point I pretty much wrote them off. But since conference play started they won @ Cal and @ ASU. Who knows what to make of them.

ASU was within range of possibly getting a top-4 seed after beating OSU. Squandered with today's loss.

Still a long way off, but cant afford to lose to the lesser teams in the PAC.

DePaul has a 78-76 lead over Butler with 2:26 to play. A Butler player just got injured and had to be helped off the court.

Marquette crushed Xavier 90-44. Blockton became the first player in Marquette history, woman or man, to reach the 2000 point milestone.

.-.
Huh. Cal @ Utah is the only game being shown on TV in my area. Bears out to a 10-2 lead early. Is today gonna be full of unexpected results?

DePaul hangs on to beat Buter, 86-78. Chante Stonewall had 25 points.

I think I heard the announcers say that Butler has never beaten DePaul. Butler had a 10-point lead with 6:23 to play but were outscored 25-7 the rest of the way.

Utah starts two freshmen, Dre'Una Edwards and Dru Gylten, and brings a third in off the bench, Andrea Torres. Edwards is the frontrunner for Pac-12 FOY, but each of the three has been FOTW this year.

I think Edwards and Gylten are locks to make the conference all freshman team. I wonder if any team has ever had 3 Fr. get that honor?

Utah has caught fire and is up 20-16.

It's early but Colorado jumped out to a 16-8 lead over Stanford. Looks like the margin has narrowed a bit since, can't see that score holding up.

Surprising start at the other Mountain school. Colorado is leading Stanford 18-12 late in 1Q.

I'm struggling to think of many other big impact Fr. this year. Certainly Cate Reese at Arizona.

.-.
In Colonial Action...... Bad night for the NC schools.... an upset as Delaware knocked off UNC-Wilmington... and HuskyNan's FIghting Phoenix of Elon lost by one point to Towson State

Utah on a 27-10 run since a slow start. Various players knocking down 3's. Huff hasn't really done much so far but they're doing just fine.

Edwards has won FOTW 4 times. Gylten and Reese have won it twice. The other players who have one it once are:
  • Peanut Tuitele, Colorado
  • Lacie Hull, Stanford
  • Andrea Torres, Utah

Colorado is stretching their lead. A bit early for upset alert but I would not have picked that one to be a tightly contested game.

Utah now up 13. Huff only has 3. That's kinda scary for everybody else.

Maybe USC woke up last weekend. Up 8 and keeping McDonald under control so far.

Not much in the way of easy games.

Utah is hot form the arc, 5-9 so far. Out to a 13-point lead in 2Q. Gottlieb just called her 2nd timeout to stop the momentum.
