There seems to be enough interest in these threads I'll keep doing it.

#17 Oregon St. @ Utah in the early game. 17-14 Beavers after 1Q. OSU is shooting 67% from the floor but 7 TO's. The story of their season. Utah hanging in their despite only shooting 35% so far. Good battle developing between Gulich and Potter in the low block. Kalmer w/ 6 points off the bench giving OSU a nice boost.

Utah is red hot in the 2nd quarter, now leading 30-28. Gulich is sitting w/ 2 fouls. Potter has 10, Grymek can't guard her, and Huff has 14 for the Utes. Balanced scoring for OSU, 3 players w/ 6 points.

36-34 Utah at halftime. Fairly entertaining game. Potter and Huff have combined for 28 points. Still balanced scoring for OSU w/ nobody scoring big. After such a big disparity in FG% earlier, shooting is EXACTLY the same at halftime, 15-32. That's weird! Almost the same behind the arc too, 2-6 and 2-7. Only 6 combined FTA, refs largely letting them play. 11 TO's for OSU, just way too many.

nwhoop-YES we want you to keep posting and as I will be up until 2 AMish, please keep at it or you will get a 5 minute game misconduct!!!!

Great stuff you gives us and I am now a fan of both OSU and Oregon (UW and WSU, not so much). Keep it up.

Kinda a light night in terms of interesting matchups...... at least on paper. I guess the Arizona State-Stanford matchup looks to be the most even of the bunch.

Other games (all times PST):

#25 Arizona St. @ Stanford 7 pm
Arizona @ #23 California 7 pm
#7 Oregon @ Colorado 7 pm
#13 UCLA @ Washington 7 pm
USC @ Washington St. 7 pm (coach June Daugherty is taking a leave of absence; she earlier missed 3 games due to a minor surgical procedure, returned for 1 game, but apparently needs more time to recover)

Yeah, none of the ranked teams are playing each other. Every game is so important though, the top 7 teams are really bunched up currently.

Huff and Potter have scored all 8 of Utah's points in the 3rd quarter. That's gotta be one of the best post combos in the country that most people don't know about. Utah had pushed their lead to 5 but OSU regained the lead 45-44, halfway thru the 3Q.

Utah has gone cold, OSU closes Q3 on an 11-0 run, leading 50-44. Utes haven't scored for more than 6 minutes. Only 2 players scored for them the entire quarter.

I'm a Pivec fan, but ouch, she's having a bad game. 3-10 from the floor w/ 4 TOs.

55-52 OSU, 5 minutes left. Huff has 25 for Utah, quite a performance (10-15 overall and 3-5 behind the arc). OSU has 17 TO's and counting. So frustrating. They telegraph almost every one of their passes. Utah has 8 steals. Some unforced TOs as well.

Pivec w/ a couple nice drives. Gulich racking up blocks, has 6. 59-54 OSU.

McWilliams had a 3 rattle out, Utah nails one on the other end. 59-57, 2 minutes left. Going down to the wire.

.-.
OSU has 2 FTA for the entire game. Uh....that's a bit on the low side.

With Utah at 14-5 and 3 of the losses in PAC-12, do they really have a shot at the NCAA Tournament? Their OOC looks pretty lame but as they seem to be giving OSU a game-are they any good?

Gulich w/ back to back buckets, 63-57 lead w/ about a minute left. She's a lot of fun to watch if you get a chance to check out some of their games.

are they any good?

They seem pretty solid to me. Definitely seem like a bubble team, but they're a tough out. Put it this way, I would consider this a good road win for OSU if they hang on. I actually expected Utah to win.

65-58 w/ 24.7 sec. left. Pivec has really stepped up down the stretch after struggling most of the game.

.-.
69-58 final. Damn, Pivec grabbed 12 rebounds to lead everybody. Not bad for a 5-10 combo guard. Finished w/ 14 points. Gulich had 18 along w/ those 6 blocks.

Potter disappeared after about the midpoint of Q3. Utes didn't get enough from anybody outside of Huff.

Great post. Like this thread and thanks for reminding me it’s fri night . It’s PAC 12 Network night!
Must like Utahs Huff. Many think she’s a WNBA keeper

I have to say Scott R has done very well with this team and he gets Slocum next year. I am hoping to see some of the PAC-12 Tourny games. Utah is actually a good fit for the PAC-12 as their Athletic Department does well with women's sports. I would have to say I think the PAC-12 across the board does well with all women's sports and am hard pressed to think of another conference top to bottom that competes as well.

We have two more hours of games! I will keep an eye on the ESPN game cast

I enjoy following women's volleyball as well, a bunch of really solid programs in the Pac 12. The conference lost their strangle hold on softball, but for quite a few years a league member won the World Series just about every year.

Before WCBB, I was and am a WCSB fan. I grew up watching the Raybestos Brakettes who imported many a west coast player-notably Lisa Fernandez as the most well known current coach. I am partial to Mike Candrea at AZ as my brother moved to Tucson for many years and I have been to a few of their games.

My family knows and accepts my "Tourney Time" for the WCWS...we shall continue this dialogue...

I assume that nwhoop is watching the Stanford/ASU game???

Nope, that one isn't being shown in my area. I'm watching Oregon @ Colorado. Kinda sloppy start. UCLA @ UW is also available for me....speaking of which, just switched over there and it's 27-24 after 1Q, Bruins leading. A shootout! Maybe I need to watch this one instead.

UW has UCLA a bit rattled. 35-30 Huskies leading, it's raining 3's (8-13 so far).

Oregon has taken control, leading 33-18. Bando is still out w/ a leg injury. They're getting no scoring from their bench, at least the 3rd game in a row that's happened.

I must've jinxed both teams. Scoring has almost stopped entirely in the UW-UCLA game in Q2.

What's going on with UCLA, they looked pretty good against UConn, beat Baylor (I know it was without Cox and Mulkey but still) and then they stunk it up. I thought Close was doing a really good job there, more so than Fargas ever did.

halftime scores:

Oregon 39
Colorado 32

Washington 37
UCLA 34

Cal 38
Arizona 17

Wazzou 36
USC 31

Stanford 41
ASU 26
