Our offensive philosophy

I'm floored. So all the factors that were irrelevant to why Edsall couldn't beat Top 25 teams explain our limitations in hiring another coach.
Sorry, I'm confused (I know, that happens easily with me....). I'm sure it's obvious to everyone else except me, but what are you saying here?

I can say with complete certainty that what we witnessed today was offensive.

Coach D - "Chad, you know that play where we fake here and then go there and fake there and come back here and then you throw it to that guy?"

Chad - "No."

Coach D - "Great! Let's run that one."

Next.

Coach D - "Chad, they're gonna expect us to do this, but they know that we know that they expect us to do this, so they'll expect us to do something else, so we're gonna fool 'em by doing what they think we're gonna do. You with me?"

Chad - "Ah..."

Coach D - "Great! Let's run that one."

As seen through my bourbon haze, Edsall is excused from never beating a top 25 team because this isn't a destination job. So how could he?

If anything, I was impressed with the level of complexity UConn showed today while achieving the similarly miserable result that Edsall seemed to produce with much less effort.

Really? 2 Big East Championships is "miserable results"? Look, we had an awful year last year, and had one of the worst offensive displays in recent memory (no passing or running game). Lets just leave it at that.

I am no pasquilonist, but I am okay with the hire as well. he's growing on me.

Deleone, not so much.

I don't think you can seperate the two. They are joined at the hip. If you are down on DeLeone, you are down on P.

[quote="Fishy, post: 324070,

In hindsight, that was a MAC hire - hiring a guy who used to be the guy back in the day. I really hope he does well here, but good lord, how the duck* can mid-majors fling the ball around the field with abandon while we go down the field like we're climbing Everest.

Abso...frigging...lutely. Why is UConn so offensively challenged year after year?[/quote]

Come on now, TouchdownHuskey. We did pretty well against a pretty good team - - - - - - - - - - - --- and we didn't even have a quarterback.
BTW: It was really good to see you

I think the play calls are what theoretical physicists call a "quantum entanglement".
