Other Hockey games (HE and non HE)

Quite a run.

Little known fact: UConn plays DU in women's LAX because they are members of the Big East in both men's and women's LAX.

They are the UConn basketball of men's hockey perhaps. I see very little resemblance to UConn hockey at the moment. But things could change.
Sorry misspoke. Meant that what Denver has done in men’s hockey is similar to what UConn has done in men’s basketball.

I think the OP admitted mispeaking. Not the first time on this board that a phrase has gotten mangled.
I didn’t post that to correct anyone. I posted it to show that they are hockeys Blue Blood. But if you want to discuss, he said they were like UConn hoop. They are not. They have been doing this a lot longer and have won almost twice the number of National Championships.

I was comparing them to be similar since 1999 where both schools -UConn men’s hoops and Denver men’s ice hockey have both won 6 national championships.

True, but there are only 63 D1 hockey teams. What is it for MBB, 362? So normalizing the accomplishment in hockey would be appropriate. 362/63 = 5.75. That factor is then multiplied by UConn's 6 natties and that is a number like 34 or 35 without doing the arithmetic. Silly argument though, your point stands. In 1966 my alma mater played for the championship losing to MIST by the same score they had beaten them earlier in the season in East Lansing. Also earlier in the year they had gone out to Denver and split two with them. At the time we concluded we must have a helluva team to have done that. Interestingly, this year Clarkson did the same thing. Didn't much help their season this year. I had fun in the elevator telling some Denver women LAXers in Maryland that their men's hockey team had just lost to my alma mater the night before though
