Rutgers wins by 3. Good, bad and ugly all showed - freshman alternating good and bad plays, scored 73 points, gave up 70 (yuck) but pressed most of the game. Three in double figures included Laney, who was the leading scorer, I think.

The game was at Comcast. That may have made difference.

I am not convinced that G'town is better this year than they were last year.

Sugar Rodgers shot 1-12 for 4 points.

For the Terps, Thomas had 19 points and 15 boards and Hawkins had 17 points and 14 boards. Thomas may have been the best player on the floor, not just today.

Georgetown didn't play very well; Sugar Rodgers didn't really even show up until there were only 4 minutes left in the game, and hers was the only name that I recognized. Three players fouled out in the last few minutes, I think partly out of sheer frustration because they knew they could play better; one of the was Rodgers.
