Other CFB games this weekend (9/1) thread

I get the feeling we could play another 50 years and never get a win like at UCLA.

UCLA lost their starting QB and is impossibly young. If the backup QB was 10% more accurate, UCLA would have won going away.

It was a perfect storm for Cincy and they seized the moment. Our turn will come over the next few years if we stay the course, IMHO.

Very strange ending to this Cincy - UCLA game. Too many oddities for me to summarize. Chip Kelly’s squad doesn’t look good. Cincy looks big and physical, but ultimately not very productive.
Look pretty solid to me. Big, physical and fast against a PAC 10 squad.

How many years before Penn State fires Franklin and hires Moorehead as head coach? I''ll set the over/under at 3.

I only watched the fourth qter. Cincy looked big and physical but not particularly dynamic.

Overall the performance of Temple, SMU, Tulsa and Cincy gives some hope that we might have a chance in those games- but then again, team always evolve and by the time we play them they may have their problems worked out. For today there is some reason for optimism.

That’s a bit surprising...but I wouldn’t put East Coast kids out there on game one ever. Too much travel and distraction.

Herman Edwards' debut looking good so far. Doing well against UTSA at the half, up 28-0

AAC may be stronger than the PAC this year. Relegation?
I don't know how the PAC stays together after realignment. It's the biggest conference of haves and have nots, and they regularly pump out terrible seasons

Black Rock, as in neighborhood named after town of same name 6 miles from Dublin, and past home to literally ship loads of Irish immigrants. Fairfield, ex-heavily blue collar town full of ship loads of Irish who early on moved up a notch in the world and their ancestors and others who continue to economically move up in the world. It's no shocker ship loads of Notre Dame-empathizing Americans of Irish background still live in the area.
Um OK. My point was there were more Bama fans in the bar than ND or B1G Michigan.

A&T wins it 28-23. Would rather see them in the playoff than the Celebration Bowl!

Another ACC beatdown on ABC. Canes down 27-3. Only thing that will save the conference tomorrow night is that it's ACC v ACC.

LSU kicker played 3 years at Assumption!
