...outside of bball.

I came up yesterday with this thread direction, and at the time, I would have voted for Venus to capture
one more Wimbledon. But my fantasy has been overturned, because now a bad back has precluded her playing at all.

Meanwhile I ask: Do you have a top sports outcome (even if odds are low) you'd love to see happen in the next year or so?

Federer winning another major (doesn't matter which one at this point)

Texas reestablishing itself in CFB.

Some say I'm a glass half empty guy. I'm more a glass lying shattered on the floor guy. ;)

Tottenham finishing below Arsenal and out of CL (mind the gap)
Giants missing playoffs. (0-16 would be my dream)
Yankees/Mets/Redskins/Jets/Colts missing playoffs
S./V. Williams, Mickelson, Woods, Mannings losing...any tournament/game, any time.
Ohio State/Florida/Tennessee losing....anytime, any sport

on a more positive note (oh that's hard to say)
Arsenal winning Premier League or Champions League (fantasy - both in the same year - I probably would have that heart attack)
St. Louis Cardinals winning another World Series
REAL Fantasy - USA winning World Cup next year. ROFLOL. I crack me up.

Usain Bolt breaking 9.50 in the 100 and 19.00 in the 200 and then stepping up to the 400 and breaking Michael Johnson's record.

An American winning the New York or Boston marathons.

Ireland qualifying for the World Cup, especially after the crock of crap against France that happened last go round.

Good luck with that one. Germany has pretty much got the automatic bid for their group locked up. Ireland has a 3-way fight just to get into a playoff for a berth. (with Sweden and Austria - who are presently ahead of them on goal differential)

1) Four NC rings for Saniya. 2) Beating the LVs by 50 pts in next year's NC game.

UConn Football 9 wins next season.
UConn Baseball wins college world series.
UConn Soccer wins another NC.
Red Sox win World Series.

Ray Allen gets his 2nd ring with the Miami Heat tomorrow & then retires ON TOP. Would LOVE to see him on KO's bench after that, but I realize that is just a beautiful dream...

Won't be popular, but I'd like to see Tiger win 19 Majors. Don't think he will. Five years ago he was almost a lock to win 19 plus majors, now I don't think so.

Mets win the World Series led by Cy Young winner Matt Harvey. It would be extra special if the Mets beat swept the Yankees.

Alex, I like you much better. I grew up a big Longhorn football and I love Fed. I concur with your wish list.

Cowboys win another Super Bowl, for the sake of for my mom.

BG wins a WNBA title and Olympic gold.

I would like to see the Minnesota Vikings win the Super Bowl. Or if they can't win one, I'd like to see them lose one in something less than a horrific way.

I'd like to see a genuine Triple Crown winner - a Secretariat/Seattle Slew type, not some nag who gets lucky three times.

I'd like to see an American win the Boston Marathon and I'd like to see four Jamaicans win a gold medal in the Olympic bobsled.

buffalo sabres win a cup. not even in the next few years, just in my lifetime.
a-rod gets band for life from MLB
lexie priessman Wins a Gymnastic senior national championship
agnes zawadzki makes figure skating Olympic team

Right now, I'd like to see the men's team make the Final Four.

.-.
The Carolina Panthers winning the Super Bowl. Duke Football winning a BCS Bowl... actually I'd settle for winning any bowl... I aint greedy.

Yeah, it's not likely but I can hope :)

We win no. 9; the Sox win no. 3....and some great horse emerges to take the triple crown.
