every evening to an hour or so of beach volleyball? i really don't get it. is it simply the obvious, or am i just missing something ?
Going to guess people enjoy seeing this:
i should not have implied that i actually watch it. but there is exposure( excuse the use of that term) when i check back to see if it's over.Who's forcing you to watch it?
hmmm maybe that helps.Beach VB is an exciting game, men or women, especially in person.
Um, the U.S.Who's gonna win, 3rdbass?

I actually think both men and women prefer playing in small suits - with all the diving on the sand, the less clothing to get filled with sweat and sand the better. (Yes it probably doesn't hurt viewership, but when playing for money/gold medals, you can bet they wear whatever they think gives them an edge!)Personally I prefer the real volleyball. Much more exciting. I mean you can only do so much with 2 people. And you can't really jump that high in sand. Makes for a much slower game. But I suppose if one wants to watch skinny women in bikini's then sure why not? Personally I prefer more curves in the bikini's I watch (when my wife let's me ) . But it's still a sport, so of course I have watched it.
Other than just catering to a male audience, I see no reason to wear the bikinis as a uniform. I suppose they can if they want, it just seems a little degrading???

Just watched the BRA/CHI match and I certainly appreciated the Brazilian team for labeling their tops - otherwise I might have been confused!I kinda thought the swimwear was somehow related to the tradition of volleyball on the beach. Go figure...

But I was confused as to why they kept labeling their cap as a bra, too.Just watched the BRA/CHI match and I certainly appreciated the Brazilian team for labeling their tops - otherwise I might have been confused!
Hmmm. I saw the entire race. Now I wonder what channel I saw it on. The last few laps, and especially the finishing sprint, were exciting indeed.Of course, it's not a question of anyone being forced to watch it, but rather
a disappointment that limited prime time is being spent on beach volleyball
rather than something else the viewer might wish to see.
I, for one, was a little miffed at not being able to see at least the last few
laps of the men's 10K when an american, amid all those Ethiopians and
Kenyans, actually won a silver medal.
