So adorable! Congratulation on the new addition - why not call him Geno?

Awww so cute!!!!! Yes, Geno is a great name for him. Or Jonathan after the Husky mascot.

Adorable, what is his breed?
Not that you asked, you most certainly did not, but naming him after uconn (instead of uconn) I think I'd name him Shooter.

.-.
He is a labradoodle. Cute as a button and super sweet to boot. Geno is a great idea. I'm going to wait a week or two on naming him to see if he names himself (based on his personality etc)..

Cute pup! I am a fan of Geno for the name but then again my three pets are named Pedey after Dustin Pedroia, Papi after David Ortiz, and Pesky after Johnny Pesky so I am a little partial.

How 'bout Yankee Doodle?

well, ya canna call her a "red doodle"...or a "sox doodle" - or just "doodle"...

I suggest Jonathan.
He's cute! A lady at my dad's work's dog had 13 labradoodle pups.
...and really any standards that once applied to that name are no longer relevant.

What a great looking pup... If he were mine, I'd call him Diego.

Boo

Congratulations! :D If the puppy is male, you could always commemorate a standout, personal favorite, and/or someone the puppy resembles/reminds you of, from one of the UConn men's BBall championship teams.

My sister recently got a new black Lab puppy and named him Rafa, for her favorite tennis star.

Great names, sawxfan! Last October I got a new kitten, an adorable little tuxedo boy. I gave him his choice of 2 names: When I asked him, "Is your name Dustin?", he had zero reaction. "Is your name Koji?" PURR PURR head butt PURR PURR head butt Honest!! So he obviously became Koji!

What a cute pup - I've met a couple of labradoodles, and they have been quite appealing. My wife is perceived by dogs as an "alpha doggie" and just yesterday out walking downtown we had a dog come up to her and start sniffing and the owner said the dog wasn't unfriendly, but normally not at all social. So we have met a large variety of dogs as we go through life, never mind the ones we have actually had in the household.

So enjoy!

Don't do that. My sister did that with her cats. They ended up being named Irving and Sh|t Head.

Eric, he is adorable! The perfect name will occur to you in due course. Keep us posted.

For a few years neighbors thought our dog Buddy was named Son of a Bit ch because my father would chase him around the neighborhood when he escaped the backyard yelling " son of a bit ch! Get back here!".

Buddy was a mix of two breads. In today's world of assigning names to cross breeds would Buddy have been a cockel? Or a cockeagle? Or a Beaker? We mostly called him stupid.
