Just checked on NFL.com 6 years 108 mill, 55 mill guranteed and a 25 mill signing bonus, what did he do to deserve that contract wow is Jerry Jones an idiot. As a Giants fan I love this and I almost feel bad for Cowboy fans.

Jerry Jones refuses to admit to a mistake, instead he just compounds further and further.

Jerry Jones has actually backed away a bit, BUT he's compounding things more with this move... I'm pissed... Romo hasn't proven anything but putting up huge numbers... Hasn't won ANYTHING for my boys... but puts up huge numbers season after season... He has the potential to be Danny White at best... and he hasn't even gotten there yet...

IMO, JJ's trying to save face after building that billion dollar stadium... Keep the fans thinking that just maybe (just maybe) Romo can lead the Cowboys to the promised land... NOT!

Garrett shoulda been fired and we shoulda started out with a new HC... That shoulda been the first thing... Jets fans are probably feeling my pain too.. same bullcrap over there...

I hope , somehow, someway I'm wrong, and my Cowboys shut me up and win...

I've been a Cowboys fan since 1967. I knew there was trouble when Jerry Jones fired Tom Landry. But..... they made it to a couple Super Bowls with Aikman so I had to give Jones the benefit of a doubt. I'm out of benefits. :(

I'm not a cowboys fan, but Romo is a much better quarterback than Eli. It's not even close quite honestly.

Well you're right about one thing.....it ain't close.

I swear I think people just say the dumbest things on this board just to elicit a reaction.
Some people really do say the dumbest things. A kid (well, mid 20's) who briefly worked for my company about a year ago said (shortly after last year's super bowl) "For a bad QB Eli wins a lot of big games". I just looked at him without saying a word (initially thinking he was joking).

That was the best thing he ever did. Landry was washed up and Jones treated him the same way Landry treated players that couldn't help him anymore. It was the Golden Rule.

Aaron Rogers is going to remain a Packer for more $$... I'd rather have Aaron as my QB then Tony. (Younger, more upside and the #1 QB in the league).

As a 'Skins' fan, I want Romo. If' it's close, he'll seal it with an INT. Eli has at least half of a chance of making up for that bad INT he threw earlier in the game with a score.

I enjoyed every part of that Monday Nighter. There was little to no chance for the Cowboys that night. Tirico and Collinsworth were almost wondering out loud how Romo was going to F up the final drive. When he threw the INT, Collinsworth's tone was basically, "I told you so."

I think Skins fans should just be focused on trying to get past the Divisional Round for the first time in 20 years.

Is that supposed to be a burn? You understand that as Redskins' fan living in CT, I have zero impact on the games, right? You should also understand that the goal is to win the Super Bowl, not get to the NFC Championship game.

Besides, I have the utmost confidence that the Redskins are in better shape than the Cowboys going forward, based on what they did last year. RGIII does have to learn to avoid contact at the pro level, but I don't expect the knee to affect him very far into the new season, if at all. Unlike many other mobile QB's he's a QB who can move instead of a runner who can throw.
