OT: To the Dogs (Music Thread)

I saw Leon Russell do this once in the 70's. I never saw Leonard Cohen.

I think I saw these guys once on an undercard, but don't hold me to it.

Great find...liked this one a lot back in the day, reminds me of their contemporaries, Grace and the Airplane.

Thanks. I saw the Airplane once, and believe it or not, Hot Tuna twice, with Papa John Creach. I was one concert going fiend back in the day.

.-.
Speaking of animals in general.

Animals - Nickelback

Another one that shouldn't have taken us this long:

.-.
Don't know if a Glass Tiger is anything like a paper tiger, but this is a good song from the 80s.

He eventually went by just John Mellencamp. I remember him as John Cougar Mellencamp. Apparently he previously performed as both Johnny Cougar and John Cougar, so I think it counts.

This song mentions almost every animal known to man, mammal and otherwise.

Another one from the same band, with their lead singer replaced by actress Brie Larsen.

(weird movie, but I found it entertaining; it's kind of incredible how many people appear in it, several of whom went on to be much bigger stars afterward)

Anybody get anything by Seal yet? From an unfortunately bad movie, but a good song nonetheless.

Ahem. A couple songs creep into my subconscious that could work. Hokey jokey songs. So bad I won't stoop to linking them. But someone else could if they felt like it. Something about what a fox says, or doing what mammals do.

.-.
Apparently this is a John Hiatt song, but I love this version by a little known folk band (I used tigers before, so here's a bear; need to find a lion).

Voila, lions! Synth pop artist doing a stripped down acoustic version of her own song.

Is it music? Might think so if you were a lemur.

Two with the same title that were both just a few years ago. Just remembered I have both of these performances captured from TV.

Well I won't go with what the fox says, but I don't think we've done any fox yet.

Fox On The Run - Sweet (or The Sweet)

.-.
One from the early days of rock and roll. The Everly Brothers and "Bird Dog."
