Music from a beautiful movie with a beautiful sound track. Anyone looking for a good movie with no blood, no car chases, no nudity and, I believe, no swearing (if there is, it's minimal) with a wonderful script and cast, see Field of Dreams. I've seen it dozens of times and still cry (happy tears) at the end. It's ostensibly about baseball but non-fans will enjoy it just as much as hard core baseball fans.

Best source I know for incredibly great music programs: the Kennedy Center Honors. I suggest you google "List Kennedy Center Honorees" to see names of all honored since 1978. Next, type "youtube Kennedy {NAME of Honoree]" and enjoy.:)

My faves: McCartney, Chuck Berry, Dolly Parton, Quincy Jones (Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder playing together!), Merle Haggard, Julie Andrews and, of course, Bob Dylan.

And I forgot a few. Check it out.;)

Then Nan I'm guessing you like Horner's work from Legends of the Fall:
I do like Horner's scores quite a bit - I have a movie score channel on my Pandora feed - but I am a huge Hans Zimmer fan. Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, and Batman Begins - fabulous music. I do think the most moving song I've ever heard may be the below, written by John Williams for Schindler's List and played by Itzhak Perlman. Maybe it's because I associate it with the movie but this song edges out the final song from Field of Dreams for "Most Likely To Make Me Weepy".

Just MHO - Perlman is a genius and, to me, no one comes close to him for his ability to coax emotions from his violin.

Eyes Wide Shut...
Yes! Big thumbs up for this piece. I've downloaded a few pieces for my playlist and this is one of them. Another is Adagio in G Minor, a famous piece that no one knows the name of.
